I find it endlessly fascinating digging into census records, military records, etc. It's led me on a couple of interesting road trips to visit cemeteries and land once owned by my ancestors.Also, I spend way too much time playing sudoku. jff Posted March 31, 2017 Share Posted March 31, 2017 I'll go for anything interesting (souvenir or cool advertising, calendar pencils, floaty pencils) usually mid-1960s or earlier. I went a little nuts with it a couple of years ago so I probably have 600+ pencils; at some point I need to thin the herd a bit. The whole idea of mechanical pencils is pretty bizarre, Everything about them is needlessly more difficult and expensive than simply using a regular pencil. I'm a die-hard White Sox fan (which ain't easy these days) and also follow the Blackhawks and Illini closely. Sports and music. I guess I haven't evolved much since I turned 12!!
