To be fair, he does have so much orange makeup and hairspray on that it'd be tough for a bullet to break skin.

Coming soon to Netflix - Orange is the New Kevlar

I love this from the root.

Sanders is an evil woman, but I feel the slightest sympathy for her.  Just having to wake up every day and try to explain the dumbass things our President says.

Another thing that is lost in all of this garbage is the lead up to his claim he would have run into the school.  He talked about seeing some deputies train and then basically said they were not up to doing the job.  This is a man and a party who built much of his political brand on being on the side of the police and law enforcement.  So just after this tragedy, he has said the FBI failed because they were focused on Russia (untrue) and that the deputies are not up to the job of protecting the citizens of the US.

How can any person in law enforcement support this guy?

NRA using their puppets. Crazy to think that Georgia will risk loosing their largest employer over guns. Guessing Illinois would welcome Delta...

Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle ®, who leads the Georgia State Senate, demanded on Monday that Atlanta-based Delta, one of the state’s largest employers, make a choice: Stop punishing the NRA, or watch Republican lawmakers strike down a $50 million sales tax exemption on jet fuel, of which Delta would be the primary beneficiary.

“I will kill any tax legislation that benefits @Delta unless the company changes its position and fully reinstates its relationship with @NRA,” Cagle tweeted. “Corporations cannot attack conservatives and expect us not to fight back.”

Amazon has (or had until yesterday) Georgia on it's short list of places to open a new headquarters,  No way that's gonna happen now.  And Georgia is a MASSIVE state for the film and TV industry.  That's in jeopardy now, too.  So this petty extortion attempt, coupled with non-stop attempts to legislate religious bigotry against gays, is going to cost Georgia incalculable damage.

All because certain types of people feel like their being oppressed when they lose their privileged status.

As a Georgian (proudly not by birth) this is extremely embarrassing, but I'm glad it's getting national attention.

Why would you feel sympathy for someone who willingly takes and keeps a job? Nobody is forcing her to be Trump's mouthpiece.

For grins I like to go to breitbart and read the comments. A common theme I noticed today was dismay that Obama and Clinton were not under investigation for "weaponizing" the FBI and other supposed crimes that folks had trouble articulating. Are these folks Russian agitators? Or just plain ol' mouth breathing American dullards?

I'm betting a mixture. Half robots, half stars and stripes waving ignoramuses.

Oh completely agree.  Like I said an evil woman, but Mick Jagger begged you to have some sympathy for the the Devil.

I just imagine her sitting at her desk, watching the President and then screaming out loud, "JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!" Slumping back in her chair and quietly sobbing.   So maybe it is not sympathy, maybe it laughing at her self induced plight.  .

Just saw that Dick's Sporting Goods will stop selling assault rifles and have 21 and over gun buying policy -- pretty great news. Que up the NRA...

I see that they stopped for short time after Sandy Hook, but started again. Of course they vow to stick with it, this time. Hopefully they do and other stores follow.

From a NYT story. This is what this country needs: a change of mentality about guns...

Mr. Stack said the retailer began scouring its purchase records shortly after the identity of the suspected Parkland shooter, Nikolas Cruz, became known. The company soon discovered it had legally sold a gun to Mr. Cruz in November, though it was not the gun or type of gun used in the school shooting.

“But it came to us that we could have been a part of this story,’’ he said. “We said, ‘We don’t want to be a part of this any longer,’” said Mr. Stack.

I've never been to a Dick's store, but I will be doing all my Christmas and birthday shopping there this year.

It will be interesting to see if the other big boxes like Bass Pro, Cabela's, Academy etc. fall in line with Dick's.  Pretty bold move by Dick's.  Kudos.

limbaugh just said that the boycott push is led primarily by bots and that it wont work because most people don't want it.

Last I checked, 75% of Americans aren't gun owners and that 1% of the American public are NRA members. Based on these facts, limbaugh appears to be back on the hillbilly heroin.

Georgia can't take much more embarrassment this week.

The delta thing takes the cake. It’s a 2% discount! Really the nra is crying about saving $6 on their flight?! So you’re going to screw with Delta which drives the economy down there it’s idiotic!!

Sweet holy fuck! The Russians are using the NRA to manipulate American politics. Old Ronnie Reagan is rolling in his grave. If this were from a less reputable source I'd call it tin-foil hat, conspiracy theory fodder.

Up to last week or so, I never realized that one had to be 21 to buy a handgun, but 18 to buy a rifle-type gun. Seems a bit weird.

It is great that businesses and some states are at least trying to curtail guns, while of course DC does nothing...

people tend to hunt more with rifles than handguns. no reason why an 18 year old can't buy a hunting rifle, imo.
