  1. Wondering how it went getting into the Riv last night. I'm trying to plan for what time we need to get to the Vic tomorrow. Did it run smoothly? Just looking for a heads up on the no-ticket entrance. Thanks!!

  2. This is courtesy of the frenz list. I thought I would share it with you here:

Neil & all the Wilco/Radiohead peeps were outstanding! All suffering was absolutely worth it; it was tremendous fun.

    Distant Sun

    Too Blue

    Little By Little

    The Ties That Bind Us

    Learn to Crawl

Girl, Make Your Own Mind Up

    All Comedians Suffer

    The Witching Hour

    Over and Done

    You Never Know

    Learn to Crawl (?perhaps?)

    Private Universe

I Got You (w/KT Tunstall's hub Luke on drums)

Something (ie George Harrison cover w/guest ukelele-ist or ukeleliarian?)

    Don't Dream It's Over

    Weather With You

  3. Right! I wanted to say something to him, but he kind of shuffled off to the side and was not making eye contact with anyone. I think he felt awkward. He was really funny and I wanted to thank him, too.

I felt a little bad for the fact that Peter Grosz was getting largely ignored in that meet and greet line. I mean, not too bad. Just a little. ;)

  4. We were sitting right behind all of you! And, it was nice to meet you, Gewee, and sit next to you at the show. Hope you had a safe trip back. My husband is going through the pictures and I will post them soon. Jeff was very gracious post-show. I'm just glad I didn't say anything stupid or drool on myself. Hearing the new songs acoustic really added a whole new dimension to my appreciation for the new album. Overall, AWESOME evening.

I think I was right behind you (sitting next to he VA couple).. same experience. Spoke with Sue briefly at the end after talking with Jeff. Dorks unite!

  5. Soundtracks have been a good compromise for us, too. We end up buying the soundtrack to pretty much every movie our 5 year-old sees. He, too, likes to listen to Wilco, Flaming Lips, the Beatles, Shins, etc., but as far as kid music-good soundtracks are Curious George, Cars, Willy Wonka, and his very favorite is the Blues Brothers.

I'm not sure if it will drive you insane..but I buy soundtracks to movies..such as Ice Princess, Music inspired by the Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe, Bridge to Terebithia etc. Those usually have a decent mix of songs/artists and you don't get tired of listening to same person for 14 tracks...plus the age range of singers is vast and they aren't KIDDY songs.
  6. Seriously. I did this. I bought this exact shirt for my daughter who is 15 months even though I knew it would be too big for her. And I bought the rocket shirt for my 5 year-old. They are going in the Easter baskets. They came within a week which is faster than I've ever gotten anything from Music Today.

When you just ordered a Wilco Sky Blue Sky Tour CreeMee (Ice Cream Cone) Toddler Tshirt for your 15 month old for his Easter basket.

(I feel bad for putting the kid to bed now!)

Me, too. I put mine to bed during the intermission. I let him stay up listening until 10 last night and he was wrecked this morning. Tonight he asked me if he could learn how to play the electric guitar. He's 5. Too cute.

  8. i said it last nite... but i'll say it again.... does it not make you friggen sad listening to this... especially if you've been to one of the previous shows. this is history here! i am seriously extremly disapointed. the concert was marvelous, and even jsut overall i had a great time in chicago with my friends. im like 17 and our parents let us go to chicago alone to see wilco man!

those are some pretty cool parents.
