Solid and just the thing to get me pumped for the show tonight!

fair enough. i just asked a simple question, no need to get your panties in a wad.
i guess i reserve the word great for only a smaller amount of things . as in i'd probably say Wilco has like 30-40 truly GREAT songs, after that i'd probably settle for pretty good to good
honestly i was a bit bummed the song even made the record myself, so for someone (granted it's Rolling Stone) to call it a standout, kind of boggles my mind a bit, but i'll take that comment with a giant grain of salt, considering it's source.
Still might not make the record, right? I mean, June is a few months away, and there isn't an official track listing yet.
I agree that the song is fun, but doesn't seem like album material.

Been in my rotation for a few days... pretty solid, but she could put out an album singing an econ 101 text book and sound solid. Some tracks are starting to emerge above others.
She did get a glowing review from my 4 year old while I was driving her to day care: "Daddy, her voice is big". She was struggling to find the right adjective but somehow settled on something appropriate.
I think your 4 year old's description covers it.

I LOVE Ms. Case. And, I am a warm blooded American Male, but I don't like change, either......
I prefer Ms. Case.

good to hear the Chicago show was good... Minneapolis on Wed was TERRIBLE. crowd was sedate and lame, band lacked a ton of energy compared to past shows i've seen, and they did not seem up to the task of playing @ a big venue like First Avenue yet.
after seeing 2 bad shows out of 5 now, i've realized they're a hit or miss live band unfortunately.
Totally agree wbout the lack of energy. Should have kept it at the Cedar.

I love that the band has been incorporating this into the recent setlists. I've seen them 9 times live, and Lollapalooza was the first time that I heard it. Sounds great live.

I made it to the end. This whole thread was a very entertaining way to spend my morning.

Looks like some favorites have emerged from the Residency shows -- Blood of the Lamb seems to be finding its way into the recent shows. A fair amount of Being There, too. Good to see.
Question -- and I apologize if this is covered in the After the Show threads, but does the band acknowledge the requests made via Wilcoworld?

Thoughts?

I'll be there. I'm bringing a friend to his first Wilco show.
-
I didn't even enter. There's no way I could make plans to go on such short notice (like with ACL last year) so I didn't bother trying. Good luck to all who put their names in the hat!
Anybody hear anything?

Two winners will be chosen on the 13th, and then announced on the 14th.
I guess it is unclear whether the chosen winners will be notified on the 13th or the 14th.

Wilco -- 6 times
Tweedy -- 3 times

I just bought two.

I was looking at High Road Touring today, and it looks like Jeff has availability to play solo shows in April/May.

We could talk about where the Loft is.

someone ties a bow
in my backyard to show me love
my voice is climbing walls
smoking and I want love
my jaw's been broken
my heart is wrapped in ice
my fangs have been pulled
and I really wanna see you tonight
Goose bumps every time.

I still like Adams, and I think that many who have posted about their negative experiences at his shows probably still like him too. I think his voice sounds great right now. I was hopeful that he might have calmed down a little, but it turns out that he has not. I'll still buy his music and consider my self a fan.
I just can't see myself shelling out the cash for what amounts to two raised middle fingers at the audience.
