  1. From Billy's facebook...

Thanks to the people at CKUA in Edmonton, Alberta for posting this trailer of the documentary of the making of Mermaid Avenue. It's quite timely as, in a few months, Mermaid Avenue Vol I and II will be reissued in a special package with also features a third volume of songs from the original sessions and this film on DVD. Mermaid Avenue: The Complete Sessions is being released to commemorate Woody Guthrie's centenary and I'll be doing a number of shows throughout the year that focus on Woody's legacy and the songs that I wrote for this project.

  2. Awesome show with great encore set! My girlfiriend and I sat in the Loge and there were about 200 empty seats in the middle Loge section. We ended up moving over to get a better view but it was kind of disappointing that these seats were empty for a "sold out" show. We asked the lady in the office downstairs about it when we were getting out "coat check" items and she said that they were probably industry tickets that no one used but that the show was definitely "sold out." There would have been a lot more energy and less sitting if not for this flub... but still a great show. LA Theater up next :)

  3. Anyone think that there will be a 2nd and/or 3rd show for L.A.? I think the last time they played here at the Wiltern they added shows... They obviously do it all the time in Chicago... Seems like the market can definitely support it...

  4. My girlfriend and I went to both shows in Nashville at the Ryman.... we missed out on the poster for night 1 and got there when the doors opened for night 2 and were able to get a poster... people were running up the stairs to get to the merch table... it was kind of crazy... it eventually sold out.

I looked on eBay hoping to get a poster for night 1 but the prices are crazy, especially for night 1... a night 1 poster sold for $390... a pair of night 1 & 2 sold for $287! Has anyone ever seen any other Wilco posters sell for this much on the secondary market? I hope the prices come down so that I can get one... This is really crazy... Here is the link for what is active... a night one is up to $212.50 right now...

  5. Does anyone have any more info about what time Wilco might play on Sunday? Have to make hard decisions about flying out Sunday evening and don't want to miss a single note. Surely the band/management want to HELP US enjoy this festival and give us the information we need to make travel plans!

    Try looking 4 posts back....

  6. I do not like this new Frongate company at all!!!! Music Today was much better. I was not able to get any tix for the WIltern shows and I was on there right at 10. It seems they started the presale early, like at 9:58. Also, when I went to buy tix for the Pomona show presale the cost with their shipping charges came out to more than Ticketmaster!!! Lame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
