I will say that the recording, while excellent, doesn't capture the 'oomph' of the number as experienced at the show

I think this is the best song they've written in a while. It's fuckin amazing.

Considering it's the 3rd time they've played it live, who knows how it'll come out on record. But it's some great raw material, and in subject and tone it bridges back to Being There, to Lonely One & Dreamer in My Dreams. Pretty clear, happily, that Jeff & co. are OK with being a rock band. More power to 'em.

Iroquois is nice. I suspect it makes for particularly good taping, outdoors and all. Guys in row H near me had sweet setup

Did it have a drum solo? Did Jeff scream at least twice while singing? Was Nels on fire throughout the whole performance? If you answered yes to any of the above it is likely the new tune.

In that case, SWEET. And I didn't catch all the lyrics, but what I did, I quite liked. In the vein of "So You Wanna Be a Rock'n'Roll Star" or "I'm Just a Singer (In A Rock and Roll Band), but with a more "f*ck you"/ironic bent.

Tonight in Louisville. Could have sworn it was a cover, but a search for the lyrics turns up nothing. Is it this "Rock Myself" (or thereabouts, by any other name) of which is spoke?
