  1. Need some help. I've never been to the Pabst and I don't know if the seat I bagged are any good: Center, Row H, 9 and 10.

They don't, at least from what I could see, having a seating chart on their site.

    Thanks

    -N

Hey...I've got row H seats 7 & 8! Looking forward to sitting right next to ya! The Pabst is a great venue, you won't be disappointed

  2. It sure was great to finally be able to see the whole band together for the first time since last fall...way too long in my opinion. The show was amazing, much better than I had hoped it would be. It was great to experience it with some of our friends that had never been to a Wilco show before. By the time the show was over they wanted access to all of our Wilco discs!!! I love turning people on to good music.

Hey LouieB! That was me giving you a "shout out" before the band went on...just wanted to say HI!!

Looks to me like running, cutting back on caffine, and any of the other things Jeff's been up to lately definitely agree with him. It was great to see the whole band truly enjoying themselves.

  3. Edie, for someone who was about to have 30something complete strangers hanging out in their apartment along with a spectacular grammy award winning artist for the evening, I think you look pretty darn good in that picture!!! You and Scott were THE BEST hosts anyone could have ever, ever, ever asked for! And by the way...

    YOUR APARTMENT KICKS ASS!!!

Yes, those are flowers behind Jeff's head...why do they have to look so strange in my pictures?

  4. You know, I wouldn't have done it any other way. And I think the others in the group feel the same as I do. ;)

You know we do Edie!! Last weekend was such a wonderful experience all the way around that who could help but want to share it fellow Jeff Tweedy/Wilco fans?

Sure wish this were last Friday...

  5. Wasn't his response "I don't know any Radiohead songs"? As in he didn't know how to play 'em on guitar?

That's exactly what I heard him say, "I don't know any Radiohead songs". As to what he truly meant by that, only his hairdresser knows for sure!!

  6. Hey there are a half dozen other really bad requests you could have made that would have made the Super Bowl Shuffle look positively brilliant:

    Freebird (for bob2)

    Stairway to Heaven

    InnaGaddadavidda (sp)

    Que sera, sera

    Anything by Son Volt

I actually heard somebody asking Jeff to play a song by Radiohead during the pee break - they were in the dining room...I thought that was kind of a strange request...

  7. hey, i see edie offering to hang out anytime anyone's in chicago, but don't forget to call me and morgan up if any one of these festivities happen!! we'd love to see anyone we met at the show (or didn't!) it was so awesome meeting everyone, i wish we could have all spent more time together!

Don't you worrie for even one second...when we get down that way again you will know about it for sure!

We loved talking about music with you and Morgan!! See you soon!

  8. Oh and Jodi? Are you and Rob heading down here soon? Love to get together with you ANYTIME. Let's make a time of it!!! :yes

Be carefull what you say...y'all were such wonderful hosts that next time we may not leave at all!!

Please say hello to Scott for us too!!!

  9. As for the frames, I'm probably repeating myself, but I love sharing the story....they belonged to the grandmother of one of my co-workers. He was cleaning out his parent's house and immediately thought of me when he came across them (is that a good thing??)! Just got the lenses replaced about two weeks ago and I absolutely adore them. They're a bit goofy, but so am I!

    - Julie :)

Julie, you looked absolutely stunning in those glasses!!

  10. I also want to thank all the people who brought us stuff -- I know many people brought drinks and some brought food, and though I don't 100% know who did what, thanks for all of it!!!

Also, several of you came bearing other gifts -- Jodi, thanks for the Calexico CD and Warner for the NHampton MA Tweedy show. Listened to it (tweedy) in the car today -- and it is awesome just like you said.

Kudos to Jodi and Rob who arrived early bearing meat lasagna for the group and also got to see me pre-shower after running around all day doing errands/cooking/cleaning :punch

    Edie--

You are very welcome for the CD and the lasagna...it was the least we could do really. You and your wonderful family made Rob and I feel so welcome in your home. Scott was the most gracious host, making sure I had a cup of coffee (which Sara was sweet enough to share her Starbucks with me!!) and getting the punch going way early on also. You all are very precious people to us and even though we only met for one brief weekend, you've touched our lives forever. We'll have to make the trip down some weekend to check out one of either Scott's or Max's gigs...sounds like a blast!!

  11. Here ya guys go! ...there are different albums. ours is obviously the living room one. for a few pictures from the party look in that album too!

    no.

Wow Erin...what a great bunch of photos!! I can't thank you enough for getting one of Jeff about to sign my plate, that is totally cool! Also thanks so much for all the fun talking about "real" music this past weekend. It was so refreshing to meet young people that are interested in something other than the crap that gets played on the radio...especially the lousy radio market we have up here near Milwaukee...

  12. What an incredible evening to say the least...it could not have gone any better than it did. Thanks so much to Leigh and Edie for coordinating everything and making it happen...Rob and I can't thank you enough!!

Also thanks to Jeff and Susan for being so gracious and giving of their time. I finally was able to get the license plate that belongs on the front of our car (which will never happen unless we get a ticket!!) signed by Jeff which was very, very cool. We sent along a copy of a picture of the back of our car with the W1LCO plate one it with Jeff and Susan...thought it might look cool hung up at the loft or something.

Meeting all of the fellow VC'ers was incredibly wonderful as well, wish we could have spend more time together. I guess there's always next year, right?

    Take care everyone!!
