  1. call me cranky but...

last year was just so easy, already this years production feels sullied. and, they haven't even announced the line up!

these festival things, they become monsters. like, remember the first lolapalooza?

the camping...did people camp last year, or is that a new addition? might be fun?

  2. I'm pissed off. First Wilco buys out the entire Holiday Inn in advance of the show's announcement. That is really lame, IMHO. Now I've got to rent a car drive extra miles to a motel, or go hippie camping with porto potties and no showers.

And this pre sale ticket offer was a joke. They never sent me an email with the code. I have to pay 120 now for tickets? I'm a super fan, why am I being dissed?

After only one show, SOLID SOUND looks sure to have jumped the shark.

  3. I wish I was, but I hemmed and hawed too long and it sold out. Throw me some shrimp!

You're lucky you avoided it....the food sucked big time. The stuff at the snack bar looked a lot better and was a lot cheaper. That stadium sucked....who puts merchandise and hotdogs for sale down on the floor in the middle of the viewing area.

  4. Did anyone see the 3rd episode of True Blood?! Far Far Away was playing in the background during one scene. I know Wilco songs have made their way into various TV shows, but it was so cool hearing them on True Blood cause that show is awesome.

  5. I know I'm preaching to the choir...

    1. Great lyrics, songwriting, & musicianship

    2. They great live

    3. They make unbelieveable studio records

    4. They change their sound w/ each record

    5. They make albums in a CD/MP3 age

    6. They release records for their fans to hear 2.5 months before the scheduled release date

    Am I missing anything?

yes, acdc blows these guys away! :rock

  6. I completely agree with you. It was possibly the best show I've ever seen. I would have liked them to play longer, but what can you do. I'm just glad I made the effort to get to Sayreville- thanks again TJ. I feel lucky to have been there. I don't know that I'll ever get to see them again in such an intimate venue. I don't think anyone who was lucky enough to be at the Starland that night has anything to complain about. (unless you were one of the kids that got pulled out of the crowd in a headlock for smoking weed)

yeah, best wilco show i've ever seen. definatley the most rocking. starland room was awesome place.
