hey, were those crickets in the boxes that glenn opened up halfway through one his "songs?"
that is what i was thinking... pretty sweet setup he had
-
Look, theres the typical audience banter that goes down at Tweedy shows and then theres the bullshit that happened last night in Nashville. It was way out of control. I felt embarrassed when the turd in the second row asked Jeff if he would call his sister and talk to her. What the fuck?
And having him sing Happy Birthday to your son. How bout you and your son go outside and shoot yourselves?
And the poop thing? That got way out of hand. "Nitty Gritty Dirt Band" HaHa!
And if I had been sitting anywhere near that fuckstick in the balcony he would have gotten a water bottle upside the back of his head after the third time he yelled at Jeff. What an idiot. You mean he wasn't there with anyone that told him to shut the fuck up?
Good show though.
the only good thing about the 15 year old asking for him to call his sister .. it was the same guy that asked jeff if Glenn would come back out.. atleast we got an extra song because of that kid
yeah the guy whoasked us to sing happy birthday for his son was real cool.. another waste of time
i really wish more people in the balcony would have stood up for jeff and helped kick that guy out earlier.. not sure why no one did.. instead a lot of people just laughed and kept him going

so Gun was basically jeff & glenn?. that's a first. thought it might have been tweedy alone, literally unplugged
proves that the whole band can play it as an encore soon
gun was just jeff
-
these setlist look really short. I hope by B'ham he is warmed up and tired of the games. JT has some of the best Banter I have ever heard but if its cutting the setlist short then I'm not sure its worth it. It's his show though so he can do whatever he wants.
yeah it is kind of catch22 ... as a pearl jam fan also you have to let Eddie talk and go off on his wild rants and tangets at times.. whatever keeps the front man happy will keep them playing more and enjoying what they are doing on a nightly basis
it looked as if jeff had a great time tonight.. he said he was an hour in last night and had only played 4 songs.. he knows it cuts the sets short but also at the same time if the crowd would shut up there would be less chance of him going off on something
but at the same time if it wasn't for the crowd we would not have heard Heavy Metal Drummer.. a young guy asked when jeff came back out to play Gun if Glenn was finished for the night. he said yeah unless you want to hear some more.. next thing u know glenn is out there adding an extra song to the set
really surprised we didn't get Acuff-rose tonight being nashville and all.. i have a feeling Jeff didn't want to try to sing it and deal with some of the obnoxious guys in the audience
-
the tweedy banter wasn't really that entertaining to me. too much dealing with the request making asshole and not enough playing or funny banter. i came up with something of a setlist. i didn't get one song.
spiders (kidsmoke)
radio king
i didn't know this one (lyric : "be patient with me)
one by one
bob dylan's beard
iattbyh
jesus, etc.
shot in the arm

gun
it was pretty good i was just hoping for more music. he also revealed that the new album will be called "Sky Blue Sky" and will be released on 15 May.
man who loves you ended the encore.. then glen came back out for Heave metal
-
thanks for the info. This banter shit is crazy...sounds like its getting as bad as it was with Ryan Adams. Let the dude play his music.
yeah i dont feel like typing it all out right now because the guy really made me mad but luckily didn't ruin the show.. but lets just say Jeff finally shut him up by talking about his mom's death last year..
-
unreal...
opens with Kidsmoke and some douche 30 seconds in yells for Radio King.. that set the tone of the night.. really dont feel like describing the bantar between Jeff and the rude hick
great show.. tons of talking.. continued the band game from last night in memphis.. the fans basically picked the setlist..
ill let someone else write out the setlist no way i can remember the order with all of the interruptions but Jeff really had a good time and said the Ryman show last St. Patty's day was probably his favorite/best show ever.. "all downhill since"
talked a little about the new album coming out May 15th and that the band will be back in nashville this year
funny moment was when Glenn came back out with Jeff.. they played a few and finally Jeff thanked him etc... being his last night on the tour.. proceeds to play Im the Man Who Loves You while facing him and the mic turned.. hopefully someone grabbed this on video
-
Heavy Metal Drummer, California Stars(which Jeff handed the setlist to someone in the front row, and let them choose the song), ehhhh... I hate my short term memory.
passenger side? shot in the arm? theologians?
thanks for the report
-
He played from about 9-11. The encore was probably 15 minutes.
I thought Glenn sucked, but his stuff isn't my thing.
Everyone was seated until Jeff played Acuff Rose.
cool i cant wait for tomorrow night.. hopefully it will be a respectful crowd
remember what he played with Glenn.. heavy metal drummer im sure was one?
-
How long did he play.. encore?
how was glenn's opening set?
everyone sit?

there's a few songs that are worthwhile, but for the most part it's pretty poor.
pretty poor... care to explain ??
there are atleast 6 great songs on this album..
i didn't get my hopes up for this album and thought it would be kind of dull but im so happy with it
Tea and Theater is great live and comes off even better on the album
MIAPD is so powerful and one of the better accoustic songs i can think of
Mike Post Theme is simply a really good song
Endless Wire grows on me more and more on each listen and fits perfectly on the album
We Got A Hit is very catchy and obviously a crowd favorite already
Fragments hasn't grown on me yet
i could keep going.. but i give it to these guys for what they have done and am ready for the next album which will definately happen with the praise this one is getting
-
Endless Wire is growing more and more for me on every listen and pick up a song i love on each listen... great album period
-
I was at his last show... weird.
where and when was his last show?
any other stories about it would be nice
-
i love this song.
live at the ryman.
man the memories of that night!
-
im seeing them in dallas.. then in austin and oh yeah The Who the night in between.. should be a good weekend
-
Opened with Field Of Opportunity, then Homegrown. Only 6 songs. He looked and sounded great, but I'm now I'm glad I didn't go.
recent FA sets haven't excited me..
but Bridge in a few weeks will be great!! Neil and friends will pull out some suprises
-
FINALLY!!!
willie looked really lost and almost like he didn't want to be on stage then.. hmmm
neil is extremely energetic.. ready for him to bust out some oldies
-
Cougar's on now. Neil should be soon.
boy i dont like mellencamp.. bring on Uncle Neil
-
Jerry Lee Lewis, although looking close to death, has still got it.
This webcast is pretty cool.
i just turned it on and Dave is on .. mehh..

Haven't seen a line-up order, but I'm sure he'll go on pretty late.
Might check this out, but can't find anyone who wants to go. What's wrong with people?
Wouldn't be the first time I traveled solo. Never know how many more times I'll get to see Neil. Gotta make the most of em.
if it follows the typical lineup he will follow dave and go before willie.. then they will all do something at the end of willie's set
always fun to watch
i think NY will put on a great show this year... he's back at the top of his game
-
been a fan for a while .. cant wait to see them live for the first time this year.. but ill admit i dont have the highest of expectations from what ive been hearing about the new tour
same setlist every night is one thing that bugs me and a lot of fans sitting
they will never be the same live but hopefully it will be good
what are people's thoughts on the new stuff?
-
thanks a lot.. downloading now
