This is from the first post on the tab message board. It's the only tab I know of.
Bob Dylan's 49th beard
----------------------
Written by Jeff Tweedy
Tabbed by: pok
Lyrics : tmreno, JorgeFabrgas, Mr Browning
This tab is taken from the EP version.
Standard tuning, capo on 5th fret.
(On the "I am trying to break your heart" DVD and
normally live, he plays this capoed on the 2nd fret.)
Okay, first we'll cover the chord placings for the verses
The intro and outro are the same, except for the song fades
in part-way through it at the beginning. I'll do that after this.
The verses are simple. Just standard G - C - D chords. The tricky
part to this song is the strumming. Get that down and you've got
this one easily. Here's the chord placement:
(intro)
G
you'll be happier when i'm gone
C
but much too busy to worry
G
i'll be sad, and you'll feel bad
C D
but i know you wont be sorry
G
and as i turn to go
C
please don't wave goodbye
G
i refuse to cry on roads that are paved
C D
with men who behave
C D
like they know where they're goin
G
and i'll stop along the way
C
it's then i'll think of you
G
and i'll wonder if you knew
C D
when i got blue
C D
and things got weird
C D
and i started growin'
C D G
bob dylan's beard
(outro)
end.
Okay, now to tackle the very Tweedy intro/outro thing...
Keep the same strumming style as the rest of the song
throughout. I'm just going to tab out the prominent
notes (with the chord changes listed above), but make
sure to keep strumming the chords.
And don't take the spacing on this as an indication
of the rhythm, I'm way to lazy to space it properly.

***************
Intro - The song fades in basically on the first C
chord. Play through once. Start singing just as you
do the hammer-on to hit the G chord.
Outro - Start just after you say "..beard". Basically
go through the whole thing twice, but the part
underlined with asterisks (C to D back to C)
should be looped a couple times your second time
through. End with a nice G chord.
Also during the last verse, he does a little hammer-on
when changing from D back to C, like this....
...i got blue and things got weird....
C - - - -D - - - - - - - - - C - - - - - - - D - -

Okay, now you're on your own.
Check disc 2 of"I am trying to break you heart" to
see Jeff himself play it.

I covered Bob Dylan's Beard on my computer and put it up on a myspace page.
Tell me what you think about it.
I don't think it's illegal or anything, but if it is, I'll gladly take it down.

This should be the website. If it doesn't work I'll fix it.

that guy was such a dick. he deserves a good ol' fashioned southern ass-whuppin'.
the poop thing went a little too far in my opinion. it was funny for a while, but it got old around 'the nitty gritty dirt band.'
