  1. After 'Impossible Germany', Jeff told us if we knew the words to the next song to sing along -- at which point he sang the words "Take Me...".

The entire crowd immediately jumped in and sang 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' in its entirety.

As the crowd finished, the band launched into 'Jesus Etc.'.

    44 "Nothings" on 'Misunderstood'.

Good crowd, great performance by the band.

  2. Eight of us making the trip from all over - DC / Phila / NJ / NYC - seven 'coheads and one cherry ghost

Row B/C center orch planning to stand the whole time so apologies to the seated

Whats the tip on good eats / drinks prior to? Dive bars preferred, tho RB looks a little too fancy for that?

    Row S / Right Orchestra.

The Globe is good and probably the most affordable. Great burgers, pitchers of beer are also available, but it will get crowded on a Friday night since it is a "sports bar".

The other fantastic option (albeit slightly more pricey) is the Dublin House right on Monmouth Street (closer to Broad St than the Count Basie). Imperial pints of all of your favorite Irish beers (Harp, Guinness, Smithwicks -- and a nice Hefeweizen if you prefer). Burgers, bangers and mash, crab cakes, chicken murphy -- most everything is good. And...they have a cool seating area outside where you can take in the atmosphere of Red Bank and people watch.

See you all at the show tomorrow night! (And probably at one of these two places -- not sure which one yet. If it's nice, probably the Dub).

  3. For anyone who's interested,

Airline To Heaven video - 4/21/06

Warning. It is the whole song (47MB, over 4 min.), but totally worth it imo.

Also have Forget the Flowers (start/stop and start again), Hummingbird, and Walken but gotta go out right now. Let me know if anyone would like any of these. 'Tis better to give then receive.

Definitely interested, I'd love to see more.

Unfortunately, it looks like the download limit for the 'ATH' file has been reached. :hmm

  4. I was also at the show last night, and although there was one idiot in the crowd, overall the crowd was very good. I was standing about 20-25 to the left of the guy Jeff pointed out, and for the most part there was no pushing or shoving or people trying to move in front of other people who had been standing their ground through the 3 Stooges shorts and 'Morricone Youth'.

The crowd reaction was nothing short of a love-fest for the band. Fantastic versions of 'Kidsmoke', 'At Least That's What You Said' and 'A Shot in the Arm' were highlights for me, along with 'Monday' and 'I'm the Man Who Loves You' with the kids on horns.

Jeff was undoubtedly a bit pissed off by the one guy, but overall I thought the show was brilliant.
