  1. That link is really helpful, thanks a lot, but I think there are a few problems with it, most of which I was able to fix I think to adapt it to the live performance at UChicago, but one that I couldn't figure out. And yes, you're right, it is capoed at the second fret. But anyway, the ones I think I fixed are as follows:

    The opening chord shouldn't be:

    E---------------

    B--------------

    G--------------

    D--------------

    A-------5---------

    D-------0--------

The A string should be open to look like this:

    E---------------

    B--------------

    G--------------

    D--------------

    A-------0---------

    D-------0--------

And then the D/B string should be modified a bit to look like this:

    E-------0------

    B-------3------

    G-------0------

    D-------0------

    A-------2---------

    D-------0--------

I know that's how Jeff plays it in not for the season, and this sounds exactly the same, especially the open E string.

    Then, the line that says:

    D __________________________________D/B

spinning out webs of deductions and melodies, on a private beach in michigan

    should be:

    D ____________________________________Em_______________D/B(modified as above))

spinning out webs of deductions and melodies, on a private beach in michigan

    The other thing I fixed:

    Em_____________ A*______

    this recent rash of kidsmoke,

In this part, the A* is like this:

    E---------------

    B-----2--------

    G-----0---------

    D-----2---------

    A----------------

    D---------------

but Jeff changes it up a bit and adds some sliding in, so it ends up looking like this (with spacing signifying strumming, very roughly though)

    E---------------------------------------------------------

    B-----2---2----222----3----2----5----22---------------------------

    G-----0---0----000----0----0----0----00--------------------------

    D-----2---2----222----4----2----5----22------------------------

    A-------------------------------------------------------

    D--------------------------------------------------------

On the tab where it says:

    Em_____________________________________

    ohhhh...................................so good to be alone

    It should be:

    Em_________________________D/B(modified)______________

    ohhhh...................................so good to be alone

So that's all fixed, which means everything is playable for me, except the end part ("I'll stay in my bed, you can be the stone..."). The way its tabbed out in that link doesn't sound right at all.

And disregard the posts people made under the main tab on that link because they aren't helpful for the UChicago version.

Hope this helps some people, and hopefully someone can get back to me on that end part.

  2. Does anybody have tabs or know how to play the solo, acoustic version of Spiders Jeff plays at UChicago (Mandel Hall, I think)? Its the one posted on wilcoworld. Thanks a lot.

Also, its definitely not the way its written in the post with the huge list of tabs, its really different, so just directing me there wouldnt really help.
