  1. I have one extra ticket to Scranton for tomorrow night. I'm going to the show so I can meet outside. I am charging $35. Thats a whopping savings of $3.50. If someone lives in Scranton or extremely close to it and has a couch for me to crash on, they have a FREE ticket. avilapidus@hotmail.com

  2. I was looking to find the date of the Lewiston, NY show from this summer when I stumbled across this thread. It struck my curiosity. Now an hour later, I have found the Wilcobase.com (awesome) website, and completed the list with some comments. Now it is an essay, but it was fun.

Thank you to WilcoBase.com, without it I would never have been able to compile the dates of the shows. This is like my own personnel timeline of listening to Wilco.

2002-10-18 Wilco Roseland Ballroom New York, NY

First Wilco show, General Admission, need I say more.

2002-10-22 Wilco Electric Factory Philadelphia, PA

They were so good four days earlier, I went back by myself. This is a fun Venue. GA.

2003-04-24 Wilco Irving Plaza New York, NY

Gen Admission and too much alcohol, bad combination. I don't remember a lot of this show. It's a shame, I know.

2003-06-26+27 Wilco Central Park - Summer stage New York, NY

(With Sonic youth) General admission, and outdoors, what more needs to be said. Oh yeah, Bob Dylan's 49th beard. Only time I've heard this live.

2004-06-08 Wilco Irving Plaza New York, NY

First time I ever heard I'm a Wheel.

2004-10-05+06 Wilco Radio City Music Hall New York, NY

They had a video screen in the back of them with crazy images, it was distracting and made it hard to concentrate on the stage. I remember Less then you think. They didn't go on for the 12 minutes or so after the lyrics. Long encore too. Muzzle of Bees and Kidsmoke (Spiders) blew me away, The videos for those I remember being good, in a out there sort of way.

2004-12-31 Wilco Madison Square Garden New York, NY

(With The Flaming Lips) New Years Eve, I hope they do this again sometime. This was an amazing show, both bands were great.

2005-06-29 Wilco Albright Knox Art Gallery Buffalo, NY

I wish they'd come back to BLO, closest they've made it is Lewiston, NY. Hesitating Beauty :-)

2006-04-21 Wilco Starland Ballroom Sayreville, NJ

General Admission, my favorite kind of wilco show. The kid standing next to me was being loud and obnoxious. So Mr. Tweedy leaned over the stage into the crowd, covered the mike, flipped the bird at him and yelled FU and the whole venue cheered. It was fun and funny. Also, they brought some college kids up on stage to play horns for two songs. First time I ever heard Walken.

2006-10-19 Wilco The 9:30 Club Washington, DC

Damn Scalpers. This one cost me a lot of money, but was worth it (GA). Wilco aired this show live on the website.

2006-10-20 Wilco Carey Center Gymnasium (St. Vincent College) Latrobe, PA

I got a free ticket to this GA show, so I drove 6 more hours and slept in my car. I got to talk with the band after the show by waiting in a crowd of people by their tour bus. They were very nice even though I had nothing of importance to say. First time I heard Mountain Bed live.

2007-06-22 Wilco Count Basie Theatre Red Bank, NJ

Last row of the balcony, what a fun show. Not sure if it was staged but I remember the speakers going out so Jeff Tweedy played a truly acoustic Acuff Rose

2008-12-06 Wilco Rochester Auditorium Theatre Rochester, NY

I am so thankful for this show. They were on tour with Neil young. Tickets were expensive and they only played an hour. This was Only Wilco, cheap tickets, great theatre. Last row of balcony again.

2009-07-18 Wilco Dutchess Stadium Wappinger's Falls, NY

This was a good show. If I wasn't recovering from surgery, I would have been up nice and close.

    2009-07-19 Wilco Artpark Lewistown, NY

Not much different of a set list from the night before. Either way, great show, great seats up close, good friends with me.

2009-10-15 Wilco Massey Hall Toronto, ON, Canada

Good show. Only first 15 rows of orchestra stood. If you're in the balcony, you'd better sit at this venue. I had tickets up close in the balcony and the seats were good, unless if you want to dance. I went up to the last row of the balcony again, so it all worked out. First time i've heard Country Disappeared live, and hopefully not the last.

5 more shows coming up on this tour. I have tickets to 3 of them hoping to go to 2 more. We will see.

Have: Hamilton, Montreal, Scranton, PA. I hope to get to London, Montclair, and Philly. I'm expecting to go to only one of the philly and montclair shows. Tickets are being scalped for over a hundred bucks a ticket, It's a damn outrage but what can you do.

  3. 1 or 2 for Montclair, NJ Either Night.

I know this isn't the place to complain, so I'm sorry for the next part if you choose to read it.

Wilco shows are becoming increasingly difficult to get tickets too. I'm happy for their new found popularity, but at the same time annoyed how scalpers are ready at the gun to purchase tickets. I wasn't lazy in trying to buy my tickets. I missed the pre sale because i wasn't at a computer during work, so that's my fault. Then I wasn't quick enough for when they went on sale to the public. I was going to buy them from a scalper because there are so many tickets available; but I couldn't bring myself to spend the ridiculous amounts of money people want for them. I read a post on Craig's list that said, "I can't make the show for work so $250 and the 2 tickets are yours." For $40 tickets, awfully convenient of work to send you out of town. Maybe it's like this only in my area, but I somehow doubt it. So, if any one has an extra ticket or 2, For either the Friday or Saturday show, I would gladly purchase them and happily buy that person a beer or two or three, maybe even four.

    Thanks for reading my vent,

  4. I have great seats, but my friend cancelled on me. Seeking true fan to join me. Also, I'd be willing to trade for Thursday night.

    True fan here,

I'd love to go to a Toronto Wilco show. I'd be coming from Buffalo, NY. Hopefully the ticket is still available.

  5. Pet Peeves:

    1) Cell phones/cameras at concerts. It is so damn distracting sitting behind people that constantly put their arms in the air trying to get a photo or video and then watch their footage back during the show. When Jeff had the young lady strum along during Spiders some dude was taking shots of himself with Jeff as the backdrop. Jeff just shook his head and didn't look impressed that this cool moment in the show was being upstaged by this knobs self-portrait. Put the cameras away people and enjoy the show.

I couldn't agree more with this entire post. I'm glad someone else noticed and was irked by the picture. The second that pic was taken Jeff broke out of the hazey Spiders jam. I thought that was the best Spiders I've heard and seen. The guitar jam solo that he did later also sounded different then his usual riff. It's a shame such a great moment was ruined.

  6. Thank god for the webcast. I was willing to pay some good money for this show. Then I see the cheapest ticket forsale online is over $200. Missed the sale because of work. It would of been cheaper for me to miss a day of work without pay and stay home to get the tickets.

This shows going to be great so atleast I can watch it online.
