Looks like Grierson wrote a biography on the The Eel's last year. Film critic also for Deadspin and Paste Magazine. I wonder if he interviewed the whole band for the book?

Chicago has been a major influence on The Stones down to their name coming from a Muddy Waters song.
I'm really surprised with so many blues legends in town that Taylor Swift was even an option.
-
The special guest for the final night in Chicago will be Taylor Swift.
-
Smoking the California Pharm. Same as Watt and the boys in Pedro.
Special guest tonight's gonna be Sheryl Crow.
Maybe closing night?

I know that Wilco has opened up for the Rolling Stones in the past. Also, at all the shows they've been bringing out "local" special guests. Gwen Stefani, Dave Grohl, and John Mayer during the recent Southern California dates. Here's hoping that the Stones bring out Jeff for a rendition of Sweet Virginia or Dead Flowers tonight.

Scored four in the Pit for the Irvine show at 10:20 am. The first twenty minutes only side loge and terrace were available. So glad I kept fishing.

I've heard nothing but great things about the newly renovated Fox Theatre. There's a great bar around the corner if anyone's interested in tipping a few back before.

No Luck for either night at the Wiltern. I wonder how many tickets were sold thru the presale?

Go to NPR music and type in Bruce Springsteen under search. The third link is for a sneak preview of Working On a Dream. It was only supposed to be up on Monday, but the link is still active.
Enjoy

Banyan should be included

I walked to my local polling place in Seal Beach, and passed three other voting locations on my five minute walk. The whole process took ten minutes with no lines. It's funny how easy they make it in affluent neighborhoods.

Hello,
Banyan (featuring Nels Cline) will be playing tonight at Dipiazza's Lava Lounge in Long Beach CA. The bartender said they'll be going on around 9:00 pm. If you're in the area stop by. It's going to be a great night! And they have excellent pizza.
