I sent an e-mail to the address (chicago@wilcoworld.net) where it said to write for details on how to enter the contest. I immediately got a reply, but it was blank. Anyone else with an update?

Pre-Katrina it would have! I saw local favorites and mine the Rebirth Brass Band at Howlin Wolf in August and only maybe a dozen people showed up. After the first set and break at midnight, the band returned to find only me there! Sure, the Saints were playing a preseason game but the population there isn't capable of supporting shows during the week. I would drive down if it were a weekend. Tips is one of my top couple clubs anywhere!!

 

If anyone wants to donate to a very worthwile organization, this is it! I've given close to a paycheck this year.

Actually, selfishly (and please don't beat me up here!), a bit smaller crowd at Tip's wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing! We were at the '02 show there, and the crowd was nearly unbearable -- we wound up escaping upstairs and just listened and watched them on the monitors. The show rocked, though!

OMG I'm such a dork. I thought they didn't go on sale until tomorrow and I was the big you-know-what for getting them early! Well, uh, hope to see ya'll there ... slinks away sheepishly ...

Nothing for me either. had about a 90 second delay on the "continue" button at the warning thingie, then none available. Today's presale is certainly not up to usual standards....

Dude! Did anyone get these tickets? I swear I logged on as soon as it said "buy" and couldn't get any. What the heck?

These tickets are still available and have not yet been sold! Hope someone can use them (wish it were me! )

Was anyone able to order more than one ticket for the Charlotte show? I've been trying since 10AM with no luck. It seems you can only order one ticket.

yep, managed to get two for charlotte -- row O, center, i think! a little farther back than i've gotten for other shows, but yay anyway!

When you get to that page, go to the top right-hand corner and click on "your account". Then there's a spot for your user name (not your e-mail address) and password. If you do that, then it'll take you back to the "you will need to create a unique username and password during the ticket buying process" page. When you get there, click on "your account" again. This time, it should take you to a specific page for your ticket history, etc. I think when you're at that page, you're actually logged in, and you probably won't have to create another username/password. I don't know that for sure, but that seems to me how it should work.

thanks, gogo -- i have my username and password already, but i didn't know if we needed a super-secret password to actually buy the tickets, like we have in the past. any thoughts?

hey, ya'll -- i e-mailed today to ask about the password situation, and now i'm more confused than ever. i said, is there a new password for the pre-sales for these shows, and if so, what is it? if there's not a new password, would you please re-send the old one, as i don't remember what it is?

Well, I hate to admit this, but I'm feeling a bit slighted that there wasn't a new poster for the NOLA show. (Especially since it was such an AWESOME show!) Every date before and after ...

I'm sure there was no ill intent, but it sure feels like another slap in the face, no matter how small, for those of us in south Louisiana. (Oh, why make them a poster? They don't have walls anyway ...)

BTW, I'm not a cherry ghost; I'm a long-timer who just never posted and lost my original screen name.
