At Management's request, I have removed my clips of the Fox Theatre sound check. Everyone at TMMI has treated me with the greatest respect, so as much as I know people want to see those clips, I have deleted them from YouTube.
Sorry for any confusion and my apologies for any trouble posting the video may have caused.
Thanks.

I don't see the soundchecks videos. Were they removed? why?

At Wilco Management's request, I removed those video clips from YouTube.
Sorry for the confusion.....I am grateful to them for the opportunity and don't want to lose their respect.
They treated us very well. Thanks for understanding.

You know, I have never met you but I think I actually hate you at this moment.
You have got to be one of the luckiest people on the green earth. By the way great article, good job on the poster, and thanks for the videos.
Trust me....I know how lucky this whole moment was. Thanks for the kind words...I didn't post to rub it in anyone's face...I just knew that true fans would appreciate the whole story. Wilco's Management treated us like kings...the whole thing was a dream.

I was able to collaborate on a poster design for the recent Milwaukee show and as a result was given tickets to the Detroit show. After a successful effort to have our poster signed, we were able to sit in on the sound check at the Fox Theatre on Wednesday afternoon. As a huge Wilco fan, this show was unlike any other concert/music situation I have experienced. Other than sound men & ushers, my buddy Mock & I were 2 of 6 people listening to a 7 song "set" as the band dialed in their sound for the show that night (which by all accounts was amazing). The band acknowledged the sound check fans and were funny gracious and loose...All that & then Andrew Bird did his sound check....unbelieveavble, to be so close to all this wonderful music. I captured as much of the scene on video before my battery died.
Here is a link to my recap & videos:

A huge thank you to the band and the management for the opportunity....truly a once in a lifetime!!
Hope to get more video up soon.

Did anyone get a look at the poster from the show? A buddy of mine & I designed one specifically for the Milwaukee show. Wondered if it was available by show time. Mgmt prints them....wondered how it looked . It had a welder in the design. Thanks.

I work with a group of music fans who have been doing Limited Edition Screenprint posters for bands that come to our area.
Capital A Prints http://www.capital-a-prints.com/ Check out some of the work.
We have had some great luck getting bands to allow us to make a poster for shows, specific to one venue on the tour.
We are located in Ohio, so we were happy to see the Wilco Columbus & Detroit dates pop up.
Anybody have a good idea of where to start with the Wilco folks to get something like this approved?
Management? Booking?
As a long time Wilco fan, this would be an amazing band to work with.
Thanks for any suggestions.

I was fortunate enough to be at that Chris Thile show. The performance was flawless...this band was having so much fun on stage. Amazing musicians. They are going to be at The Abbey Pub in Chicago on June 12th....you gotta go if you live near there. I caught some video of the Ann Arbor show...but my battery ran out before the Wilco song....sorry 'bout that.
I also posted a small review on my music blog.
