  1. I emailed Sandbag asking about the tickets and this is their reply:

    Hi

I'm sorry for the delay in getting these tickets to you. Unfortunately we are still waiting for them to send us the tickets.

We've spoken to the promoter and we agree that all tickets should now be collect at box office. She is just trying to find out where and when you'll be able to collect them and we will e-mail all ticket holders as soon as we have the details.

    We apologise for the inconvenience.

  2. I have been trying to buy tickets online via this agency all afternoon - but it won't accept my Mastercard - any idea if there's any other way to get tickets?

Still no sign of this officially going on sale via Wilcoworld - come on guys....!!

I don't think so. Maybe at some local record store, but I don't think they will be somewhere else on the internet.

Maybe they don't accept Mastercard, try with a Visa if you can, because it's a small bank's website and maybe they won't accept a non-Spanish Mastercard or something.

    Good luck!

  3. I saw Murcia on the web too, I don't know what happened to it.

Actually, I'm getting kind of sick of the info, or lack of info, about the Spanish/Portuguese tour. Why does it have a link to the pre-sale page for Santiago, if the tickets were not even in the pre-sale? And tickets for Donosti and for Madrid went on regular sale without notice. I'm tired of checking if the Santiago tickets are availiable every freakin' hour! Is there any email address to write to and ask?

I've been looking for information on Galician websites and people who seemed to know what they were talking about (somebody from the venue) said that the Santiago tickets were supposed to go on sale later that the others, probably in a week or two. But that's not something to be quiet about! :unsure

On a different matter, I wouldn't rely on google translator!

  4. I tried today and I didn't get the tickets, so now I'm very pessimistic about Friday. I hate this pre-sale system.

So, if I don't get tickets and any of you who did cannot go or anything, please feel sorry about a poor little girl from Spain that will be in Chicago only for a year :rolleyes

  5. hi, I'm from Spain but now I'm working at an elementary school in Schaumburg. I have only been here for a week, but I only work from tuesday to thursday, so I hope I can go downtown at least once a week. Maybe you guys can help me: where should I go in Chicago? I want to know about the places that are not in the city guides. Also about music stores and bars where they play Wilco! Well, anything you think I should see. Thanks!

    Auria.

  6. Hi, I have a question about the tickets for this show, maybe you can help me:

I'm Spanish, but I will be in Chicago on December 1, so I would like to go to this show. I have visited ticketmaster.com in order to see if it is possible for me to buy the tickets from Spain, but it seems that the only way to deliver them to someone outside the U.S. or Canada is the "will call" option. But they say that not every venue has this system, so I would like to ask you if you know if there is this option in the Auditorium (I don't find it in the web).

    Thanks.

  7. Is Iowa very far from Chicago? I'm not American and I'll be working in Chicago in October, and I'd like to see Wilco, but they are playing there in September, so I was wondering which is the nearest place for me to go.

  8. I have seen them every time they've come to Spain, I think (not every concert, but every tour), and things have changed a lot. The first time I saw Wilco was in the Primavera Sound in Barcelona just before the release of A Ghost Is Born, and they were not the most important band of the day, they played before The Pixies. So most people there were waiting to see the Pixies, who had just got together for that tour so there was a big expectation to see them, and it was hard for me to get a place near the stage, where I was sorrounded by people who did not care too much about Wilco, although, of course, there were a lot of keen Wilco fans scattered aroud the place - a very weird environment, but a great show.

Then I saw Wilco in Barcelona again almost a year after that, I think it was 2005. It was at a small venue, I think there were about 1000 people there, and it was much better. I had never seen something like that, not only the music (which was amazing), but the people. Everyone was devoted to the concert and having a great time together.

After that, people in Spain started talking about Wilco more and more, they appeared in more magazines and they became a "cool" band (I don't know if I'm explaining myself propperly, and maybe there are other people from Spain that do not see things like this, but I do), something I had not imagined.

Then, last December, Jeff Tweedy played 2 solo performances in Madrid and Barcelona, in small venues (1000 people). I went to Madrid show and, maybe it's because I'm used to Barcelona atmosphere, but I did not feel like I did in Barcelona in 2005, as if most of the people were there because they had read somewhere that they should be there.

And I last saw Wilco last May in Primavera Sound again, and they were the last group of the festival, in the main stage. Many fans, but also many people that, I believe, saw Wilco for the first time, and that either were curious about them or wanted to see if the new record was as poor as the Spanish press has said (I don't know if this happens everywhere, but press here loves to say that a band is great and then is eager to say that they have lost their greatness, and it has a lot of influence in people's opinions). The show was great, and it had good reviews, in general. I don't know what happened in the last concert they played in Spain, last August, as one of the most important bands in Benic

  9. I was there, it was great but too short for me! only one song in the encore!

I love the pic you posted of Jeff Tweedy with Scott from Minus 5, I think he was having such a great time in the concert, coming and going with glasses of wine and singing all the words
