I think the waffles thing is a hoax. I haven't heard of anybody actually being on there.
I'm there, along with 13,681 others.
They open the invites for very short time periods, so even members with invites can't use them most of the time. I had 2 invites for a week before I could use them. They are supposed to change servers soon, so maybe they'll decide to open the flood gates soon.
-
I've got 3 more Libble invites. I anyone wants them, PM me your email address.
EDIT :
No more invites left. However, the 3 people I invited a few days ago have 3 invites each.
-
you have an invite?
No, sorry
-
Bad news. Looks like it's time for waffles and others to do some ISP searching
PS, thanks for the invite Loial.
You're welcome
And BTW, waffles admins say they were going to move their server soon anyway.
PS, free leech on Libble !
-
I have some Libble invites in case anyone is interested.
EDIT : I sent 3 invites to the people who PMed me. I have no more invites.

This is crazy. I just downloaded from Oink 5 albums mentioned on this thread. I hope you guys are right about them
-
Not sure about the order :
Neon Bible
Wincing The Night Away
Sky Blue Sky
Armchair Apocrypha
Woke on a Whaleheart
Cassadaga (actually I haven't listened to this one enough yet, but I expect to love it, since he's one of my favorite artists)
-
i think the whole point was simplicity...dont overthink it just write what you feel
"Just sing what you feeeeeeeeeeeeeeel
Don't let anyone say it's wrong"
-
anyone know whos gonna be supporting wilco when they go to australia? i heard augie march but dunno if its that right
Great combination. Both are on my top 10 bands I want to see live.
Too bad they weren't in Australia last year.
-
Conspicuously missing from your anticipated 2007 new releases list:
Wilco - Sky Blue Sky
You got some 'splainin to do!
I think he only listed the already leaked albums, to show that saying the Shins album is best so far has a meaning even at this early stage (given the amount of leaked albums). That was a long sentence
-
I love sad songs.
Here are some good ones that weren't mentioned yet:
Old And Wise - The Alan Parsons Project
I See a Darkness - Bonnie Prince Billy
Two Headed Boy, Pt 2 - Neutral Milk Hotel
A Distorted Reality Is Now a Necessity to Be Free - Elliott Smith
I Better Be Quiet Now - Elliott Smith
True Love - Elliott Smith
-
Basement is my favorite
best album of 2004
-
Can anyone help?
thanks.
Hey, I downloaded this show from Oink last week. I'm not sure if the track list was accurate but here's what I've got :
01 - Untitled Track
02 - Captial I
03 - Measuring Cups
04 - A Nervous Tic Motion of the Head to the Left
05 - Simple Exercises
06 - Revel
07 - Why
08 - Plasticities
09 - Tables & Chairs
10 - Fake Palindromes
11 - Skin is, My
I can only verify the songs from his last album (since I don't know his older albums very well).
As for the rest, I think some are new and some are old.
-
I love the opening track of the new album, both lyrically and musically :
One Crowded Hour
Now should you expect to see something that you hadn't seen
In somebody you'd known since you were sixteen;
if love is a bolt from the blue, then what is that bolt but a glorified screw?
and that doesn't hold nothing together
Far from these nonsense bars and their nowhere music it's making me sick
And I know it's making you sick
There's nothing there, it's like eating air
It's like drinking gin with nothing else in
And that doesn't hold me together.
But for one crowded hour, you were the only one in the room
And I sailed around all those bumps in the night to your beacon in the gloom
I thought I had found my golden September in the middle of that purple June
But one crowded hour would lead to my wreck and ruin
And I know you like your boys to take their medicine
From the bowl with a silver spoon
Who run away with the dish and scare the fish by the silvery light of the moon
Who were taught from the womb to believe to the tune
In as far as their bleeding eyes see
Is a pleasure pen, meant for them, built for and rent for them
Not for the likes of me
Not for the like of you and me
And for one crowded hour, you were the only one in the room
And I sailed around all those bumps in the night to your beacon in the gloom
I thought I had found my golden September in the middle of that purple June
But one crowded hour would lead to my wreck and ruin
Oh but the green-eyed harpy of the songland
She takes into hers my hand
She says, "Boy I know you're lying
Oh but then, so am I,"
And to this I said "Oh well."
They put me in a cage full of lions, I learned to speak lion
In fact I know the language well
I picked it up while I was versing myself in the languages they speak in hell
That night, the silence gave birth to a baby
They took it away to her silent dismay
And they raised it to be a lady
Now she can't keep her mouth shut
And for one crowded hour, you were the only one in the room
And I sailed around all those bumps in the night to your beacon in the gloom
I thought I had found my golden September in the middle of that purple June
But one crowded hour would lead to my wreck and ruin
great love songs?
