  1. I have this and it's a really nice double LP set. I have a few copies: black, grey, blue/green and green only. SarahC, Could you let me know what color yours is? Have you opened it yet? The 89/93 anthology is great and sounds amazing pick that one up too.

  2. If you want any Dylan, Beatles, Stones, etc.. vinyl from pre-90s you should be able to get anything you want for under $2 an LP if you look hard enough at record shows, swap meets, yard sales or church sales. I have a huge collection of older albums and doubt that I spent over $5 an album.

As for Uncle Tupelo / Wilco vinyl I am a big collector, what does everyone have?

    This is what I have:

Brian Henneman Indianapolis 7" (Purple and Black)

Uncle Tupelo Gun 7" (Picture disc and Black)

Uncle Tupelo I Got Drunk 7" (Picture disc, blue and black)

Uncle Tupelo Sauget Wing 7" (Picture disc, clear and black)

Uncle Tupelo No Depression LP (Salmon and Black)

Uncle Tupelo Still Feel Gone LP (Black UK version)

Uncle Tupelo Still Feel Gone / March 16-20, 1992 2LP (Blue/Green, Grey, Black and Test Pressing)

    Uncle Tupelo Anodyne LP

    Uncle Tupelo 89/93 2LP

Wilco AM LP (Red version and Repress)

Wilco Being There LP (Original and Repress)

Wilco All Over The Place 10"

Wilco Summerteeth 2LP (Original and Repress)

    Wilco/Billy Bragg Mermaid Avenue 2LP

    wilco Yankee Hotel Foxtrot 2LP

    Wilco Ghost Is Born 2LP

    Wilco Kicking Television 4LP

    Wilco Sky Blue Sky 2LP

    Wilco The Album LP

    What am I missing?

  3. holy cow, the new one looks and sounds sooooo much better than the original. They did a beautiful job. I really feel for anyone who paid ebay prices on the old one.

Also, it's weird to see the nonsuch insignia on Summerteeth, the LP and the CD both have it.

...and Anodyne looks bumped to 11/03/09.

Can you post pics? I ordered mine from amazon.ca and it seems like it is slower than other sellers.

  4. This will be the first time for Anodyne on vinyl, no?

Yes, it has never been released. I can't wait!

My copy of the Summerteeth reissue arrived today from Insound, so it's on the way! Woo hoo! :dancing

There's two extra songs tacked onto the end of Side D. Well, one extra if you just count Candyfloss being officially listed by name. The other "extra" is a remix of A Shot in the Arm. There doesn't seem to be any info about whether this is an old remix or a new one or who did the remixing. But anyway...

It's a gatefold cover, typical of the Nonesuch pressings of Wilco stuff. And a CD version of the record is also included, as per usual with Nonesuch. The CD copy doesn't seem to have the Shot in the Arm remix on it, though it does list Candyfloss as being the last track on the record.

Can you post pics? I would like to see what it looks like.

  5. I am still holding out for the addition of Portland or Seattle. Or Vancouver BC! Maybe they can squeeze in a show between Southern Oregon and Red Rocks??? I cant make it to Southern OR on a Tuesday evening! I think it's a 4 hour drive one-way.

Definitely would love to see a Vancouver or Seattle date but it doesn't look promising so far. Does anyone know if they plan on announcing more West coast dates?

  6. I'm telling you, I put this thread up yesterday and Look what happens. Freaking cosmic. Oh Oh my! My sweet AM on vinyl.

I can't believe more people aren't excited about this. I am sooo excited!!!!!

I wonder if AM will be on red vinyl again or if they will give it a proper sleeve and put it on black vinyl.

  7. Kinda thinking about selling 'em, but kinda not. Anybody wanna sway me? (By that I do NOT mean price; I'm just looking for a fair argument to either keep them or set them free.)

I love my vinyl and my Wilco vinyl is definitely the most treasured vinyl in my collection. I listen to them regularly. I think it really comes down to what they mean to you and whether you listen to them at all? If so I would say keep them, if not I would think long and hard about it because they are not easily replaced. Also, did you get the autographs personally? If yes there might be some nostalgia associated with the AM vinyl.

At the end of the day, it's a question of whether you would rather have a few hundred dollars in your pocket or some great Wilco albums. If you think about selling let me know and I will put in an offer. :)

Since I started this post, I have been lucky enough to find two Uncle Tupelo LPs and the Billy Bragg/Wilco - Mermaid Avenue double LP. I am so happy with them I decided to share some photos of them.

Does anyone have a vinyl copy of No Depression to sell or know of where one might be available?

  9. I can no longer make it to the Cleveland show. I have 2 x 6th row seats available. The catch is, I'm in Pittsburgh.

    Tickets are $75 for both.

    2/22/2008

    Wilco, Lakewood Civic Auditorium

Number of tickets: 2, Seat Locations: Section SEC 4, Row F, Seats (1, 3)

Email me at harraton [at] gmail.com

Sorry, I think it is a bit too late for me to go.

  10. will not allow me to respond to yer pm, but of course i would guarantee that you'd get them if you committed to buying them. my friend just wants to make his money back, so the info i stated earlier is what the deal would be.

Let me think about it. If you have other buyers go ahead and sell. What time would you need to meet me that day?

  11. OK....this is kinda crazy...but here goes.....my buddy bought 3 tix front left section (in front of nels) row N. this is super small venue...high school auditorium....so these tix are really good. Now after he buys these for us and another friend at $75 a pop ($225 total)....I score 2 tickets thru a radio station but cannot pick them up until the night of the show at the will call table, so i don't know where they are. So here's the deal.....at the show, i'm gonna pick up these tix and obviously sit in the better of the two choices, which is going to leave either 2 tix where i described earlier, or 2 tix somwhere else in the venue. if you want to....i will guarantee you the two tix...just can't say which ones....and we can meet at the show and do the deal. so basically...you'd be buying two of my buddy's $75 tix...just can't confirm where exactly they'll be. the venue is so small that any seat is good....i went to high school there. respond if yer interested and we'll start talking it out....

  12. Thanks, everyone for the info. I think I may have found myself a sealed copy of March 16-20 1992/Still Feel Gone from Amazon.com of all places (I am still crossing my fingers that it comes) and it sounds like I need to get my hands on the minus 5.

I have also have amassed a lot of info about LP releases from both UT/Wilco so I might as well share it with everyone. Feel free to correct me if I made a mistake.

  13. That 180 gram ND never came out.

Thanks samorama, I guess I can stop looking for the 180 gram re-issue of No Depression because it never happened. How does the original rockville issue of No Depression sound? Is it comparable to the anthology? I think the Anthology sounds incredible.

  14. No Depression was, indeed, released on vinyl. My copy is marbled pink - can anyone tell me if this is a repressing? I believe I recall seeing some on black, but I'm wrong a lot. As for the Still Feel Gone/March 16-20, 1992 - my copy has the former on translucent blue vinyl and the latter on translucent green. I believe there are also copies circulating with marbled vinyl. The blue/green platters sound good, though. I doubt it's super-heavy virgin vinyl, but I have no complaints.

Thanks for the info BewlayBrother, do you want to trade/sell either of those? I did some googling and it sounds like there was an original pressing on Rockville and a new re-press of the album a few years ago on 180 gram vinyl.

    Does anyone have this copy?

  15. So I have gotten into the addictive habit of buying vinyl. Over the past two years I picked up Being There, Yankee Hotel, A Ghost is Born and Sky Blue Sky. Just last month I bought Uncle Tupelo Anthology 89/93 and it sounds incredible.

Does anyone know what Uncle Tupelo albums were released on vinyl? I have seen the Still Feel Gone/ March 1992 double LP pop up on ebay. Can anyone confirm if there are any other releases (No Depression, Anodyne) on vinyl? Also, can anyone comment on the quality of the pressing for the Still Feel Gone / March 1992 double LP.

Finally, does anyone know if Summerteeth will ever be re-pressed on vinyl? I am sure the record label can make a lot of money by making a high quality pressing. I would love this on vinyl but I can't justify paying more than $100 on any album.
