So would you say it's in the same vein as the Summerteeth/YHF demos that are floating around, or are those slightly more legitimate?

What exactly is this? I downloaded it recently but I can't find any mention of it on anything resembling an official webpage, and even a google search barely turns anything up. Is it just sort of an unofficial compilation of b-sides/demos/live recordings circa 1997, or what?
