this might be the dumbest post i've ever read. Not just cause i'm a huge YYYs fan, and recently had the cool pleasure of catching them live. it's just fuckin dumb. i'm glad to have their records and art in my life, but if i didn't like the band, no way would i exert that much lame energy to express my reasoning. it's OK if you don't "get" the band, but just cause you don't, doesn't mean they suck.... Karen O, Nick, and Brian are cool kids. spread the word. not the hate.

I've heard a few songs, which I bought from itunes....and loved them. Went to every freakin' music story around the area and can't find it anywhere. So I ordered it from Amazon earlier today. Can't wait to hear the whole record. From what I've heard, it's fucking awesome.
More later.....

AGIB is the record that introduced me to Wilco. I have listened to it trillions of times, have played everywhere I go, played it for lots of my friends, studied it...it just came out at a time when I really really needed it (as cheesy as that sounds, and the smell of cheddar is near). It's just a great, great, great set of music. One of my all-time favorite records from any artist/band. Actually I'm on my second copy, cause the first, well.....you know...

yeah, I know they are a texas band, but I guess what I mean't was, I purchased Sneaks in Chicago, and listen to it and GA while I was there....therefore in my mind Sneaks sounds very Chicagoy to me..... I'm weird...just go with me.....
-seth
oh yeah, and don't mess with texas.........fuckin' bush

Love, Love, Love me some Spoon. Always have.
Last year when I was visiting the great Chicago, I finally got a hold of A Series Of Sneaks....and love it. It's so Chicago.
Love Gimme Fiction (this one took me a while to really love, but now I think it just might be they're best)
LOVE GA GA GA GA GA (this is a classic)
Love Kill The Moonlight (got this while in college, and it started my Spoon addiction)
I still haven't got Girls Can Tell, but it's next on my purchase list. I've hear it's really great.
Why Spoon aren't a huge fucking band, the world may never know...but at least they're big in my rotation. And I love when I ask someone if they like Spoon, and love the look I get..."what the fuck are you talking about??"......oh well, your loss bitches!

well I've got to say as far as new shit to buy, I'm really into the new Vampire Weekend record. Actually it's they're first release, I think....anyway though, it's some cool listening. I love it.

Not sure if this has been posted before or if anyone has noticed it yet but....as I was listening to Sky Blue Sky for about the 30ish time last night via my headphones I caught the line "turned to rust as we've discussed" in You Are My Face & "turns to dust like we've discussed" in Please Be Patient W/ Me. It appears that Jeff has alot of dust & rust on his mind to discuss with us... Not that it's a bad thing at all, if fact I find it to be a cool set of words.
Discuss...
