I know this thread is from long in the past, but I'm sitting here listening to my Kicking Television box set right now and basking in how amazing it sounds.

Kind of funny that people initially balked at the price, and now it'll cost at least $300 to get a copy. No criticism toward the original posters, just a rumination on how vinyl has evolved over the years.

how much are tickets?

$40 each. After the mandatory fees etc., I paid $98 total for a pair. Damn...that's like a 25% mark-up just for fees...that sucks.

Thank you..I've looked into it and they will be open on sat. I have another question though, which I'll ask the box office directly but you guys might know from being experienced ticket buyers. With the internet pre sale, is the full inventory of tickets made available, or do they only offer a certain percentage like Music Today does for their presale. If so, then I might be able to expect some better seats on Sat. If not, then the sooner the better, right? Any thoughts or opinions?

During the pre-sale, only a certain percentage of the tickets are made available (I think it's usually 15-20%, but I'm not completely sure about that). I believe they make a certain amounts of seats in each section avaiable during the pre-sales, and keep the rest for the public onsale (although this varies from to show to show). That being said, it is my strong opinion that there will be a chance of you getting better seats by waiting until 10 a.m. Saturday -- of course, you'll have to be quick, because there will be a ton of people trying for those tickets at the same time. I don't live that far from the Greek. Does anyone suggest trying to buy tickets from the venue directly? I am new to the LA area and have no experience with The Greek yet, but do they have a box office available? I know they are located in the park and have sufferd from the fires, so not sure if this would be an option at all..Does anyone know? What would you suggest?

Yes, there is a box office at the Greek. Although the fires were around the Greek, they have not seriously affected the theatre and the venue and box office are still open.

That being said, I can't suggest -- or not suggest -- trying the box office there because I have never done so myself. I recommend you call them (I'm sure you can find the number to the box office on their website) and ask if they'll even be open when the tickets go on sale. If they will be, ask them if there is an advantage to buying the tickets at the box office rather than over the Internet. I'm sure they'll be able to tell you better than any of us.

I was in Section B Row L for Arcade Fire. The seats looked great before the show, but when the band came on it seemed like they were further away than I thought. Strange how that worked out. Anyway, the Greek is pretty small, so you'll be able to see from almost anywhere. It's not like it's the Hollywood Bowl or something.

I do prefer the Terrace to section B, though. As has already been said, it's closer, and the elevation is nice to have. I've heard it's hard to see the whole stage if you're sitting in a certain section of the Terrace, but I've never had that problem.

Yeah, Presale is on ticketmaster. You'll have to enter the code SKY in the appropriate box on the ticketmaster page when the sale page comes up in order to proceed. Good luck.

Row A only goes to seat 20... therefore seats 22 up in Row B actually become Row A -

Wow...thanks for the seating chart. My seats look great! It's been a while since I've gotten big-time luck with seats for a show...the last two shows I saw at the Greek (Arcade Fire and Fiona Apple / Damien Rice) I was in section B, which is fine and still beautiful, but there's nothing like being right up front.

I'll be singing and boogie-ing away, and it will be nice to know that there will be nobody in front of me.

had those same seats last time around.... you may get very lucky and actully have no one in front of you.

Cool. How was the view to the stage from there? According to the seating chart it looks like they're the very last seats on the outer edge of the row.

How'd it work out that nobody sat in front of you?

Tried to go for Pit tickets, but it said there were none left.

Then tried for Reserved tickets, and great luck!
