09 tour.. Awesome! I gave up on ever seeing them live, but I may actually get to.
I can't believe I may actually get to see them live. AMAZING!!!!!!! really hope I get at least one of the nights in the presale. Good Luck to all:)

the beatles were all about love. bush/conservatives are mainly about hate and fear and war. the author should have searched long and hard to find a pro-war song in the beatles catalog. he'd still be searching.
Well said! Maybe the author should also watch the movie Across The Universe. Entirely Beatles music. Not in any way shape or form pro-war, or conservative!!

Ever notice....When u go to a local bar and look up artists there is never any Wilco. Then you look under super search and type in Wilco and all their albums perk up??? I ponder why wouldn't they just put them under artists, they are fantastic!!! Why should you have to use super search to find such a great band. Anyways, I always play a few tunes once I find them:)

So glad the title has been changed, much nicer. I was listening to a few songs from the 10/31/94 show when they did the White Album, today, as I was driving. Love it, wish I could have been there, way too young.

Congrats Trey!! I agree on the Phish tour. I personally never got to see them live, and would love a chance to see them....finally!
-
And no show in SF the night before, they'll be in Bend, Oregon that night. Maybe the night after, though!
That would be pretty cool too. Always up for seeing Wilco alone, instead of at a fest.
-
I haven't been to one of these fests, so I'm not sure really how this works. If I buy a single day ticket, will I be able to see all the headliners for that day, or will they be playing at the same time on different stages?
-
I know its not posted anywhere, but Billy Bragg is going to be in Chicago on June 14th. I think it would be kinda cool if Wilco played with him.
-
I think the official lineup for Lollapalooza is supposed to be announced next week. Maybe they're waiting for that? I'm still hoping they'll add a few more shows between the Charleston make-up date and that festival in San Francisco.
Has anyone heard if they are going to have more shows between these two dates???

Similar to the Beatles thread. The answer is not definitive.
Speaking of that, do you know why the beatles thread is closed??

The version on the original Let It Be album is one of my favorite recordings ever. When he hits the wrong chord in the last verse that is one of my favorite moments in music history.
I'm gonna have to go back to the original and listen

So This thread hasn't been opened in awhile, so I thought I would revisit. My favorite Beatles song is "Let It Be" I was on a terrible flight the other day and this was the only thing I could listen to.
-
Ok if this thread should be elsewhere, sorry. I have the first Autumn Defense record and was always underwhelmed (probably should give it another try), but I love John S and want to give a second chance. What songs from Circles and the newest self titled album should I sample or download?
I personally am a big fan of "written in the snow" on circles, and I do like canyon arrow from the newest one. The lyrics on WITS, to me are powerful.

For the Faithful is a re-issue of "Reckoning". You're gonna love that one. Comfortable like an old pair of slippers.
Actually just bought a new copy of "Reckoning" today, Barnes and Noble was having a huge sale!! I got it for 12 bucks! along with "Wake of the Flood"

There were a bunch of us thinking of going to wanee, glad we didn't get tickets.
-
Hey thanks man, I was able to download it this time around. Listening right now. Not sure if I like it. I have mixed emotions on it so far.

Any chance they will be going to PHX??
Wilco (The Album) or Sky Blue Sky?

My initial listen is W(TA). I will say after seeing them in Tucson I did expect much more on the album. Live they were much more heavy and energetic than the album portrays. I hope they keep that energy up in their upcoming shows. Maybe a live version of the album will tell much more also:)
