  1. Lupos is a great venue. Site of my first Wilco show, on the day that YHF was officially released. Wish I still lived in Providence to catch this show (on my birthday, no less). Seems that Wilco has outgrown this size venue, so it should be a treat. Enjoy!

  2. I got to catch Lindsey last night at the Orpheum in Phoenix. I saw him on his two Phoenix stops on the Under the Skin tour and this was another great show. I can't remember the set list in order, but he played about half of the new album (great day, time precious time, did you miss me, love runs deeper, gift of screws, treason), a few songs from under the skin (title track and shut us down - done solo acoustic which was one of the show highlights), and the expected Fleetwood Mac songs (tusk, I know I'm not wrong, second hand news, never going back again, go your own way, big love, I'm so afraid). He also did Trouble and Go Insane (no longer solo acoustic - tighter version with band, this was a nice re-reworking). Personal highlight for me was Don't Look Down in the encores - a shame he only played one song from Out of the Cradle.

Great show but I'd love for him to really shake up the setlist sometime, mixing in a buckingham-nicks song would be a start, or digging a little deeper on Tusk (e.g. the ledge), or more from out of the cradle. I'll still catch him everytime he comes through.

  3. Just got Crane Wife today and I'm loving it. Crane Wife 3 is outstanding, and O Valencia is one of the better songs in their catalog.

If anything, the album seems to lack that one beautifully sparse and simple song that all the others seem to have (Grace Cathedral Hill, Red Right Ankle, Of Angels and Angles) - but that's just a minor point. Another typically great war song and the longer pieces work well.

Already have my tix for Tucson and can not wait.
