First of all, thank you. I wish I would've found this forum a while ago.

I did turn to my girlfriend and say "We didn't even need to bring joints, everyone must have a contact high."

It was a great Phish concert!! lol That's hilarious.

I also liked the bongrip reference during, what was it, Either Way? Can't remember, I was pretty wasted myself.

I can't believe no one has thought of Steve Zahn (That Thing You Do) for John. He can play bass.

I have to say at the outset for the past four years or so Wilco has climbed up my top bands list to number 2 (right under Pink Floyd). I've been so turned off by 21st century music that it was so enlightening when I finally discovered YFH and Summerteeth in 2003.

Cal is also my alma mater and I love the Greek more than any other venue I've ever been too. I had seen Wilco at Coachella a few years back for a measly 45 minute set and this set, three times longer, was the second most amazing show I've ever seen (surprisingly right behind David Gilmour). Pat Sansone, Nels Cline, and Glenn Kotche were just unbelievable. I hope heaven is that show over and over again.

One thing no one has mentioned was Jeff's second line to the crowd "You guys smell high." Which was pretty right on...there's not many places (I guess Portland according to Jeff) where 20,000 people can gather and collectively break the law with no consequences...and it was a good idea to because it made Nels' flailing, Jeff's perfectly-toned voice, John's "Steve Zahn in That Thing You Do"-like demeanor, and Pat's ultimate rock star guitar playing all mesh together for something no less than amazing.

I was blown away.

I paid $90 for two tickets and it's refreshing to see a band play for $0.60/minute...

To top it off, California Stars.

Remarkable.
