-
Anyone watching this catch it?
-
cancelllllled
they gave me a $50 gift card to TM though....bastards

Ticketmaster is in big trouble for this one. They literally let thousands of people buy tickets a week early for the 4 night run at Red Rocks. Got two myself, email confirmation and everything. what do you people think? tickets are up to $8,000 for two 4-day passes on ebay.
-
driving from chicago to hampton tonight...i'm honestly worried, i'm duck taping my tickets to my thigh along with a 6 inch knife, people are willing to kill for those tickets
-
i dont know, i live in chicago and go to columbia college, and I asked one of my classes today who had heard of wilco and it was a good 75% (15 of 20), people even started rattling off album names
-
im confused cause it says kicking television and i can't find it
-
i'm so confused, i can't find ANYTHING about it
-
considering the t shirts are barely viewable that honestly sounds manufactured.
and to be fair, where else would one be more judgmental about a cover of a wilco song than here?
whats manufactured the kids part or the wondering about the t shirt part? I think it's got a train on it and neon orange and green. i'm honestly not trying to anger anyone which i think is what i've done.

Wow, if you are going to trick me into clicking on that link, at least make it worth it when I do. That was a pretty awful cover of a pretty great song.
thats pretty rude I'd like to hear some of your music, i was honestly trying to figure out where that shirt on the right came from because I think jeff sent it to one of my friends for a benefit for some underprivileged kids. if anyone else can help without being judgmental about the damn music.
-
Who can name the wilco tour shirts in this video!
-
Me too...
That's too bad... Being There is probably my favorite Wilco record...
My five songs I can't stand to hear.. Doesn't mean they aren't great songs, just over played:
Shot In The Arm
Heavy Metal Drummer
I'm The Man Who Loves You
Handshake Drugs
Jesus Etc.
At one time, every single one of these songs were my favorite Wilco tunes.. They are just played out for me now..
Couldn't have said it better myself
-
baitusa would only be better because of an ecumnial matter (sp.)

Malace Finn is getting really good and the cuts that they just put up from the Elbo Room are amazing.
If you like good music, go listen and tell me what you think
I'm really looking for criticism here....

does anyone know how I could get it to Jeff?
-
Thank you so much, I was so afraid the thread was just going to get lost, so it really means a lot to me that someone listened. Again thank you so much for the pleasant review.

Hopefully this isn't considered spam. Recently there has been this shirt image used as the logo, I guess. Sadly IT WAS NOT FOR SALE
Anyways, the shirt's material was like this shirt:
Except it's red, says WILCO, has these kind of hand-drawn stars. It's hard to describe. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? And more importantly, if there's anywhere to buy it, even used? I love that shirt, and none of the shirts available at the official store really captured my imagination.
hey thats the shirt from millenium park this past year, I'm pretty sure its available on the merch site, i got it in a package where they sent me the poster and a shirt and sticker or something, but ya it's a sweet shirt

does anyone know of an email or snail mail way to get a hold of jeff or sue?
We'll see if i'll be taken to the gallows on this one, but I finished my adaptation of Tweedy's poem When I Say My Heart, I feel like the easiest way to link directly to it is myspace so go check it out and tell me what you think.

here are the words again:
When I Say My Heart
I mean
an emergency
worse than a clarinet
or an old man who just won't
stand out of the way
I don't mean a parking lot
but the pretty twisting oil slick
the waving arms
of awful drinking
false teeth
an unpopular child
on a swing set
or the least wanted crayon
sometimes I mean
a foil moon
checkpoint charlie
or a ghost
or sitting duck

so who would listen if I made this into a song and posted it? I don't want to do it and get knocked down. Who's open to the idea?
-
its actually pretty crazy how songs like remember the mountain bed can have lyrics that look and sound different as poetry, and then are so beautiful in the song
-
I watched "Man In The Sand" and I think for both Bragg and Tweedy there was some "tweaking"--taking words out to fit rhythms, etc. I can't speak any more specifically than that, though. I just learned that much from what I saw in the documentary.
thats exactly what I wanted to know thanks!
