  1. I don't think calling on the status of a product I ordered is silly or unreasonable. If I had called about it once or twice before then yes it would be unreasonable and annoying. But oh well I'll always be wrong on this site.

  2. they are slow at least to me about getting back to you via email, it sucks i know, as tom petty sang the waiting is the hardest part, i didn't really expect to get it before release date,i was shocked when it arrived,i guess the download of the album will be avalible soon though,it came from aurora ,IL, it would be something if it arrived tomorrow, maybe it will, mail order is unpredictible keep your fingers crossed!

I was told I was being unreasonable when i called and asked if it had been shipped. I told them this was the last order I will make with them. Not that it matters. they suck when it comes to keeping the customer satisfied.

  3. Does it give you the option of downloading Dark Neon? I was going to order from iTunes so I can have the bonus track, but I'd really like to have the actual CD as well as a digital version of it.

I got the single. I wish it would have been WTA too.

  4. I called and I had my order checked... it was "in the process of being selected.." Coincidentally, I received a shortly after saying that it had in fact been shipped...aka they forgot...

I got mine this afternoon, how about that.

  5. Fantastic. I'm in

My girlfriend and I had already planned on going to Radio Maria before the show. Best place in Champaign, hands down. fall menu includes Pato Tacos (duck tacos, sounds scary/weird but they are absolutely amazing)

We will probably hit up crane alley afterward.

    gonna be a great weekend.

  6. a friend forwarded this to me. its from a cardinals website.

" you might have read in the RFT (or seen it on WGN) where wilco sang "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" last weekend from the press box at wrigley --- clad in cubs jerseys, no less. in the ensuing interview, jeff tweedy admitted that, yeah, he grew up down in belleville across the river from . . . . er, uh, you know, st. louis . . . . as a cardinal fan. i'm told that a couple nights later, a cardinal employee showed up at the wilco gig in indianapolis with a birds-on-bat jersey personalized for tweedy (#1 on the back), a baseball with a personal inscription from TLR, and a bunch of swag for tweedy's kids. star-spangled banner at the all-star game next year, fellahs? . . . ."

I'm sure the SSB talk is all in good fun. and it would piss most of you off. but the rest is pretty funny.

Here is the source site. http://www.vivaelbirdos.com/ no need to go to it if you don't care about the redbirds.

  7. Haha I've known jared (Bass) and corey (vocals/guitar) for a LONG time. 4th grade and kindergarten respectively. Corey even came to my house and laid down some acoustic tracks with my brother one year. Followed them around when they were in Best of Winter.

I agree, defiantly check them out if you get the chance.

  8. Amen, I started watching band of brothers again last night (for the literally 100th time) watched episode 2 "Day of Days" Today. I always think this day should be a holiday, or a day of remembrance. it seriously saddens me that this day will soon be forgotten. Its probably one of the most important days in the history of the world. I used to thank my grandpas every memorial day, and also on this day. Still do, just not in person....

  9. As many has stated medications lose potency, no news here. As a last year pharmacy student I like to advice people to turn in "expired" pharmaceuticals into a local pharmacy for proper destroying. Especially true for antibiotics, and pain meds (vicodin, dilaudid, oxycodone etc) with the antibiotics, you're asking to develop antibiotic resistance when you take half the bottle and save the rest for later. with the pain meds if you have kids in the house hold you're just asking for a bad situation.

but thats my opinion that no one will care to read.

the other day i had some ground up turkey, expired by one day. chucked it in the trash and got some fresh. and they were Goddamn delicious.

  10. I hope this thread never gets locked. Its usually the highlight to my day.

I can feel peace will happen soon. Wilco is going to ask all offended and offending parties to come up on stage and share in a group hug. Hell im sure there might even be something in the liner notes. someday.

  11. You're gonna pull the wrong teeth, aren't you?

    most likely :ohwell

yeah...just started summer session and......and.....next Tuesday I see my first patient ever. Just spent about an hour on the internet designing a business card to give to my patients in clinic so that they remember their appointment date. :thumbup

Its impossible for Beesman to mess up and is going to bed at 2-3 a new thing for you man? Stay away from Crystal Skull its not the indy we grew up on Bmoney

  12. there's no excuse for Soriano to drop either ball tonight. He saved his own ass with that homer in the 9th, but those drops were embarrasing for a high school kid. I don't know what the answer is, but shit.

True, those were very standard plays that he should have come through on. But....

Being a cards fan I smiled when he didn't come through on the plays but shit my pants when he hit the homer.....Izzy is not that great of a closer. same thing pretty much happened last Friday against Houston. Thankfully the redbirds were able to pull out a win. I watched the game on FSN and would have much rather put it mute and played music, or just watched it on WGN (damn blackouts). Gotta love Cubs/Cards games though. anyone else got tix to Sunday?

  13. I know I am a week late on this (I just found this thread) BUT as a diabetic I found great humor in the following line "now is it 4-11 or 9-11.......New York, diabetes repair?"

  14. Any Wilco show is kick ass, I would be surprised if they did anything special for this show, but what do I know? (nothing)

It would be kick ass if Andrew Bird came out and did a few songs with the band, but at the same time I hate getting my hopes up. Thankfully Wilco hasn't turned into

DMB in the way that they HAVE to do something special or play special venues. Plus it would be odd to hear Jeff say "Thank y'all very much y'all." or "humsphm yous all smell good out there tonight." AFTER EVERY SONG.

Wilco playing anywhere is a special event. :worship

  15. oh yay, this is good news! i am going to see her tomorrow night and had no idea what to expect. i've been waiting 2 years to see her live and i didn't want to be disappointed.

I highly doubt you will be, enjoy the show!

  16. The Pageant was great as usual. there seriously is not a bad "seat" in the house, depending on the crowd you get around. Had some people barge in at the last second and separated our group, and a bitchy soccer mom in front of us, but you'll have that any where. Even if you're in the very back of the venue you have a clear shot at seeing the band. :thumbup

  17. I saw Feist last night at the Pageant in St Louis. Definitely one of the better shows I have been too (not better than Wilco or Jeff solo though. Don't worry). Amazing musicianship and artistry on the backdrop. Anyone else attend?
