Last night, I had my second Wilco dream in a row. I was at a show of theirs, and I was standing right next to the stage. They somehow managed to just kind of walk around the stage, leaving and returning, all while not actually playing any songs. I kept turning to members of the audience: "They're usually not like this." Ha. Two nights ago I dreamt that a new Wilco album had been released. I was desperately searching for the deluxe version of the album (DVD included) in a store, but I could not find a copy. Tragic.

My Homemade Lap Steel: "Woodie"

I kinda rushed cutting the nut, and the string spacing didn't turn out it quite as I intended: the distances between strings gradually decreasing from the low E to the high E. The spacing between the strings on mine is a bit all over the place. Ha. "Unique"=sloppy. -

Dig the color and the price, shame to lose that one. -
Well, she's finished. The guitar consists of a piece of mahogany I got for free, a scrap piece of nautical wood. I got all the parts from guitarfetish.com. The pickup is the Retrotron NY II, a Rickenbacker style P90. Great sound: bright and warm. I got the nut from ebay. It's bone. It plays a little funky, and the string spacing is "unique." But overall, the guitar has its charms. The rest of the pics are located on Myspace music account: www.myspace.com/ivegotcalentures

I'm thinking about using Mahogany and Telecaster hardware. I'll keep you all updated. Thanks.

I'm looking to build one, and I am considering buying the book from this website: http://buildyourguitar.com/resources/lapsteel/index.htm Any advice?
