  1. I was down in the pit, and I noticed that much, if not most, of the crowd in the pavilion was seated. It's weird. With the exception of One Sunday Morning, it was a pretty lively set list from top to bottom.

I might be getting too old for the pit, though. It pisses me off to get there relatively early, stand in one spot through Nick Lowe (who was quite enjoyable), and then when Wilco's about to come on, get some jerks push past me to stand up front, and/or right in what used to be my personal space. I don't know if concerts bring out the worst in people, or just the worst people come to concerts, but it gets old quick.

Agreed, I might be done with the pit.. Too many people yapping around me.. What is so f'n important they you have to chatter throughout the show? And then the two fools smokin' next to me and then stumblin' around afterwards.. Is this Phish or Wilco?

  2. I picked one up at the show and I love it. I also love the fact that Wilco does such cool and unique posters/art for each show. I just wish they would do them in a standard frame size! I spent $25 on the poster but the damn custom frame will probably cost $125 more!

There are worse problems to have in life.

Not that its a thing of beauty or anything but you can get a standard 18x18 frame from amazon and other places for under $40.. I did a quick check before I bought it since I don't want to pay $125 on a frame. :)

If anyone has made mp3's from the NPR stream please let me know, I am really enjoying the stream and would love to put it on my ipod.. Thx!

  3. I'm sure the next leg will have another show near me (Richmond ideally, but Charlottesville works too), and they always seem to whip out the better setlists on the second or third legs of an album release tour, so I'm not worried about it. Still a great show, especially the last few songs.

I'm bummed the posters were sold out though.

You can buy the poster online, $8 shipping..

  4.

Analogman's suggestion is best -- check the 'After the Show' thread. That's the best way to compare recent setlists.

Yeah, but its more fun asking you all.. Strike up a discussion on the "discussion board".. :)

  5.

That's a safe bet: a setlist heavy on YHF and AGIB tunes, with some regulars from SBS (Impossible Germany, Walken, Hate it Here) and W(TA) (Bull Black Nova, You Never Know, One Wing).

*Maybe a song or two from Summerteeth (Shot in the Arm, Via Chicago)

*Maybe an encore cherry picking rockers from A.M. and Being There (Casino Queen, Box Full of Letters Outtasite, I Got You, etc.)

    *Maybe some new ones.

I guess its a good thing for us that its kinda hard to nail down an expected setlist.. Thanks for the w(ta) suggestions, I'll add those to the list. "Easy rockers" are always good at piquing interest too.. :) Thanks all!

  6. I'm the one that loves you, good one.. I was looking at some of the "after the show" setlists earlier but those sound stage shows kinda run the gambit. Seems like Impossible Germany is another good bet. Maybe I'll just give him a copy of Kicking Television and call it a day.

  7. Hello - I'm taking a Wilco first timer to a show next month and wanted to get him some MP3's of what they may play. I haven't been to a show in a few years, what do they play most these days?

    I was thinking at least:

    Jesus Etc

    Trying to Break...

    Via Chicago

    Handshake Drugs

What are some other common ones? I don't really know much off Wilco(The Album) either other than bull black nova, I think I remember seeing that on a few set lists recently.

Sorry if this is a common question, thanks for the help!

  8. Bless your heart for making them a standard size! It kills me to drop 200 bucks on a custom frame.

I picked up the DC poster last night and I'll be heading out to look for fames at lunch. Thanks for the great artwork.

Agreed, thanks so much that they are standard size! Basically that means I can frame your poster this week instead of keeping it rolled up in the closet with the rest of the ones I can't afford to frame. :)

  9. I think the person changing the trash was just f'ing with us after everyone was "shushing". It does not take that long to change a trash bag. And then they did the one on the otherside! Hope that doesn't turn up in that recording if that ever sees the light of day.

I was expecting Jeff to goto 11 but I guess his solo shows are shorter? Not saying I'm upset with the length, just expected a Wilco lengthed show.. Saw Pat in the lobby after the show, nice beard!

  10. Got in right at the onsale time, nailed the captcha, pulled 4 in row CC of the orchestra on the aisle. My friend who was at a TM location in DC couldn't even get 4 together at 10 am.

You gotta wonder if a place like that has season ticket holders or something because it doesn't seem that many tickets were available. I got shut out too.

  11. The strange thing is I think this website did their ticketing last summer and I had no problems then. Unless Wilco has gotten 100x bigger in the Boston area over the last six months, I'm not sure what the problem was. I'd like to cut them some slack and say their servers were hammered, but, as everyone's favorite Bluth likes to say, "COME ON!" I wonder how bad my Ticketmaster seats are going to be...

If I had a car I'd see them in NH or RI, but alas, that's the fate of a poor college student.

I guess the demand for the DC show was pretty big (Bethesda) because no tickets ever popped up for me. Just got logged out, put in waiting rooms etc.. Oh well, guess I will try with the rest of the people on Friday.

  12. Unless they're leaked out in about half an hour, I think Boston's cooked. I'm actually kind of PO'ed right now, this has to be the worst ticketing provider in history; I was logged out at least five times merely for clicking "Choose By Section" and/or trying to buy them. Between that and some people being charged $10 for shipping, I never thought I'd say this, but at least Ticketmaster doesn't pull shennanigans this bad.

I totally agree.. This is the worst ticketing system I have ever used hands down. Logging you out, putting you in a waiting room, event not available.. Etc.. For those that got tickets, whats the trick to this 3rd rate ticketing system so I know for next time?

  13. The audio is nowhere near as good as K/T though...

seems like Jeff's voice and acoustic guitar are up WAY too high in some of the songs, to me at least.

I was at this show, cool! Kinda bummed the 930 footage was from the night before but whatchagonnado. I like this set list better anyway. I agree that the sound is not as good as K/T, this sounds pretty similiar to a tapers verion I downloaded, less crowd noise is the main thing. I think this show was streamed on NPR as well, might be that feed. Thanks Wilco!
