I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott there for a run of shows a year or two ago. It's walkable, but not *super* close. Nice enough place, though.

I was confused by this too ... and when I bought my presale tickets for the Ryman (not Gold Circle - in the balcony) the only option available was Will Call. There was no other click box to check. I thought this meant **ALL** Ryman presale were Will Call. Was this not correct?

 

"Will Call Only" for presale is fine, and Wilco and Frontgate should at least emulate the Avett Brothers presale which is ALL TICKETS for ALL SHOWS sold presale are Will Call only. That would stop about 99% of the scalping of presale tickets.

I believe it's Gold Circle and first four balcony rows were/are Will Call only. I know because I picked up a ticket for a friend and had to keep throwing them back until a non-Will Call option surfaced.

I won two tickets and will only be using one. If you're in need of one, I've a freebie with your name all over it!

Love reading through these posts and reliving the evening over and over and over again. Thrilled I could share such a wonderful evening with all of y'all.

Still cannot believe I had the good fortune of laying on a couch while Mr. Tweedy serenaded me from less than 10 feet away. Wink, wink.

Can't say it was the best crowd ever

Unfortunately, this has been my experience with DC/Baltimore audiences. I don't know what it is, but the vibe is always very subdued compared to seeing the band (or any band, really) in other places.

In general, I'm hearing such great things about this tour. Can't wait for The Wellmont shows this weekend! Thanks to all for the setlists and reviews.
