Not quite "An Evening With Wilco" more like "A Reasonable Amount Of Time With Wilco". 

The Opera House do have timing restrictions on the start and finish times of a show, depends what else is on at the venue etc. Has to be the reason, I can't think why Wilco would come all the way to Sydney and play half a set with such a huge fan base here who only get to see them once every 2 years. To me Jeff seemed annoyed with the time limit - it felt like a festival setlist. I mean, they coulda started an hour earlier... I'm just sayin....

Other than that, the setlist was great - very much the Niels Cline show if you look at the current arrangements for the songs in that first half.

The crowd got up when Jeff requested they do so before Always In Love and stayed there.

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I'm all about BT, AM, YHF, AGIB

Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays I'm all about SBS, WTA, ST, and KT

Sunday's I am not so sure.

Seriously though, have they made an album I don't like? No. Have they made an album I like more than any of the others? No.

 

Nels may be more technically proficient but Pat's playing is just so soulful and damned elegant.

 

and he's the keyboard player!

Seriously though, Pat is always there lurking off to the side on his tele. His licks during Voodoo last night were awesome. It was like he just wanted to step up and say "I can do that too...."

Wilco definitely are 6 of the most talented musicians I've ever had the pleasure of seeing - I can't think of a better live act.

Lucky me.

And i can basically confirm the setlist. Not 100%, my memory isnt that good, but it looks right to me.

As i said though, they played outtasite after i got you.
