  1. I'm thrilled that Wilco was added to the bill here and I'd like to see Neil but I am not gonna spend $250+ per ticket to see anybody right now. As the show gets closer I'll see if I can snag a pair of the least pricey tickets just to get in the venue. I used to see shows at the "Centrum" all the time when I was younger and prices weren't crazy.

  2. At Tanglewood they had a show specific poster which was really the only thing that I wanted to buy but the merch table was pretty chaotic so I got out of the mob. I was afraid that I would miss the first tune.....oh well....

  3. Last night was my 1st Wilco show but I've been a fan for a few years. Great show last night. Cool venue too. We were right under the American flag on Nels side. My only gripes were:The chaos at the merch table. I wanted a poster but didn't want to miss the start of the show so I had to get out of the scrum. The security guy near us was kicking all the guys out who tried to sneak up front but allowed 2 of the most obnoxious and possibly drunk young ladies to camp out there. The funniest thing was a girl behind us who kept yelling "I love you Neil!" repeatedly until someone yelled out "His name is NELS!"

Sadly my own recording didn't come out as well as it should have... my fault.

But all in all it was a great time...

  4. that would be awesome. i'm sure there will be others as well. i have a recording of every wilco show i've attended thus far, so i'm hoping i get one for this show too.

From what I've read here some people setup mics on stands and stuff... I'm probably not going to be that ambitious this time around.

  5. anyone planning on recording?

I'm going to try. I just bought a Zoom H2 for recording rehearsals, gigs, song ideas etc. At this point I've just been experimenting at home with it so the results might be questionable....

  6. Well we can't get a sitter for that night so the wife is staying home and I'm taking my friend Henry. I'm pretty stoked about the show but less than happy about the 200 mile round trip......

  7. Here is the official word from the venue:

"Here are the policies for the WILCO concert-Point and click cameras are O.K. No changeable lens cameras. No video recording-only audio."

    So there you go....

  8. > I'm still waiting for a verification on the recording policy at the venue. The band is cool with it but Tanglewoods

    > general policy is no recording. If I hear back in time I'll give an update.

thanks jeff!. can you please play When you wake up feeling old?

seriously, at the melbourne show this year, the same thing was on the tickets and in the venue. i asked the BIG (as in in tall and having lots of muscles) security guy if i could take photos and he shrugged his shoulders and said "yeah if you want"

its more of the standard on the ticket printings rather than the bands policy. just ask first...

My understanding is that the band doesn't have an issue with making recordings. I did not check my tix for any info about no cameras or recording but on the Tanglewood website the policy is no cameras no recordings. I emailed their customer service and they replied confirming no recording is policy but they would check into it. If I don't hear back by Friday AM I might just call them...

  9. I'm still waiting for a verification on the recording policy at the venue. The band is cool with it but Tanglewoods general policy is no recording. If I hear back in time I'll give an update.

  10. OK, not that I'm nervous or anything, but I still haven't gotten these.

On another note, would anyone want to trade their pair of center or Nels side tickets for my very close Pat side? Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to be in the 3rd row, but seem to have a better time on the other side. Any takers?

Hi, I'm Jeff and I've been lurking here for months. I have 2 seats bought during the pre-sale Section 3 row M which are on the Nels side. This is my first Wilco show and I was hoping to get seats on John's side since I'm a bassist and it would be cool to be on his side of the stage. My seats are somewhere around 11th row I think. Drop me a line. Maybe we can swap tix. Maybe not. I'm really looking forward to this show and I'm dragging my wife along to see my favorite band much like she dragged me to see Springsteen years ago.
