  1. I have circulated the show to the Moose's Tooth folks and am willing to ship a copy to someone who would like to upload the show to etree or a similar site. There is an mp3 version of the show that I posted for my sons in Eugene, OR and Estes Park, CO at http://www.sendspace.com/file/3r9vbc. If anyone is willing to upload the show, give a yell. I am leaving Anchorage tomorrow evening for Colorado so I'll be gone for about six days, but I will answer Emails.

BTW, if anyone lives near Loveland/Boulder/Estes Park, on Saturday my son is hosting the River Forks Inn Music and Arts Festival in Drake on Saturday, Aug. 2. Check it out at www.paulmaley.com.

I have received thousands of shows from friends over the years and am very happy to share this one.

Fantastic first post! thank you! Sounds pretty good overall! one thing to note: The track listing given in the text file isn't quite right--they didn't play Radio Cure (replace with the Late Greats), and the track numbering is kinda goofy. The first post in this thread has the correct order.

    thanks again!

  2. Hello all.

I was at the show Saturday night in the constant drizzle, my mouth agape as I witnessed my first Wilco show. I've been trying to see them for years, and it just hasn't worked out until now. Us Alaskans are used to flying south to catch a show or two, and I'm no exception. I've made many trips to see U2, DMB and Neil Young. It is always a real treat when bands decide to check another state off their list by visiting here, and for that, I thank Wilco. Brilliant show--absolutely brilliant. I am kicking myself for not making the trip up to Fairbanks as well, as I really wasn't looking forward to making that drive twice in 24 hours.

The Moose's Tooth Parking Lot gig should become a destination for bands. I know, it sounds really funny. A parking lot? Trust me, the parking lot is a whole lot better than playing the Sullivan Arena. The pizza and beer at the 'tooth cannot be overlooked! It's not Geno's East, but then, it's not trying to be. It's just darn good pizza and brew. And their anniversary party is becoming an event.

Last year, we had CAKE visit for a show, and it too was fantastic. Even the weather for that show was excellent. Crowd for Wilco was smaller (I heard that about 3,100 of the 3,500 available tickets sold--CAKE was a sellout). I have to blame that on the weather. Our summer here has been bad--cold and rainy. But those who showed up Saturday night experienced a real treat! I had the feeling that watching Wilco in 2008 will one day be akin to seeing Crazy Horse in their prime.

And what can be said about Nels. There are no words. I hope he sticks around. The solo on "Impossible Germany" was one of my great concert experiences. Holy cow!
