  1. For those wondering start/end times for travel arrangements, I noticed this tagged on to the bottom of the event's page:

"The event takes place from 8:00 p.m. to midnight on Friday evening, 1 p.m. to midnight on Saturday and Noon to 7:30 p.m on Sunday."

  2. I have one ticket from the presale for section A (center), Row 8, seat 19 (on the aisle so only one stranger next to you, haha). I paid $34 during the presale but I will take $30, and it's a will-call seat so we would have to make arrangements to meet at the show. My wife and I found seats together for the show so this single seat needs to go! Feel free to message me or email salkowskim AT yahoo DOT com with any questions, thanks!

  3. "I hate to be a stickler, but the song is called "Reservations," not "No Reservations." That's not nearly as bad as the super-fan who in another post called "Impossible Germany" - "Incredible Germany." It's all good."

Sounds like you quite enjoy being a stickler. ;)

Post edited to avoid more ridicule. For some reason I had Husker Du's "No Reservations" on my mind. I guess "Impossible Germany" is pretty incredible, so I could see that sort of mistake happening.

I liked the sound too, though it seemed to me that as the guitars got louder the vocals weren't dialed up enough to compete. I couldn't hear much of John's or Pat's backup vocals, which always sound so good. Overall the mix was really tight though, and I was glad the keyboards cut through as well as they did.

  4. Looking at the votes for the requests beforehand my wife and I were both surprised to see "Reservations" in first place by a mile. She requested "Hummingbird" and was really stoked when they played it. Here's a snapshot she took during the song:

The crowd was quite sedate, which was unfortunately what I expected given the venue. We were in front and I could feel the evil eyes whenever I stood up. Nels was a real maniac, he really tore it up.

  5. Me too. I'm in the front A seats 405 and 406. Should be very close to you. Lindy's on 4th Ave sounds like a great place to go eat after seeing Wilco. They are open until 3am! My bro and I will be there.

Hah, we're Row A, 407-408 so we'll be bumping elbows! I have to give my wife the aisle so the only Wilco freak she has to deal with next to her is me. :D

We're hitting Frog and Firkin beforehand (tolerable during the summer when the frats and sororities are gone) and will probably skip any after show stuff since my wife is a bit sick. Can't wait!

  6. I'm going. My wife and I were simultaneously trying the pre-sale, and she somehow managed front row! By the looks of it we'll be right in front of Nels' amp, so I'm searching the drawers for earplugs.
