WILCO'72

I discovered these guys about 10 years ago, saw them a couple of times at Hideout, once at Old Town with Crenshaw, and the last time I saw them was in 2017 at a home show in Des Plaines, IL. Acoustic only, and while different from the way they normally played out, so very good. Kind of glad I saw them go out this way. Passed around a bottle of bourbon with a few friends, enjoyed a great set and then talked with a couple of the band members afterwards. They also requested my help in raiding the host's fridge since they didn't think it would look good for the band to be doing that, haha! Who was

My favorite 10cc song is "Feel the Benefit." The best Beatles song ever written that they didn't write, I like to say. The guitars at the end are something else. First heard it while having a few tokes at a friends house in 1977 I believe. After the song was over, we immediately played it again. And again. Listening to it right now and as soon as it's done, I'll listen again. The entire album is pretty good, but this stands out.

Yes, Jim and Joe are both very talented musicians/multi-instrumentalists.

I was there as well and it was a good night of music. Glenn and his wife were sitting at one of the tables reserved for the musicians and when they got up and left for awhile, I figured I'd rest my weary bones for a few minutes. After awhile, I turned and saw Glenn standing behind me watching Joe and Jim's set. I apologized for taking his seat and invited him to sit back down, but he said not to worry about it, he didn't mind standing. He was very cool about the whole thing, a really nice guy.

First post, a fan for a long time. I haven't met any of the band, but 5-6 years ago I was at a Jewel store in Rolling Meadows, IL. It was the night before Thanksgiving and a madhouse.
