  1. My Further Thoughts

    • Joes Field should be used during the day, it is much better than Courtyard D
    • The water (boxed or otherwise) was warm on Friday night can we figure a way to get it cold
    • Crowds were fine saw very little crappy behavior
    • Wilcos request show was awesome, nice to see the band having fun!
    • Xu's Phoenix was amazing but we found the cigarette carpet just as amazing!
    • Mass MOCA rules, the place and people were awesome
    • Joe's other hose was great, didn't try Joe's hose.
    • The Loft exhibit was great

  2. I propose a new rule for SSF4: No chairs or blankets in the front third of Joe's Field.

I second this, what is this homesteading? Made it much more crowded up front with peoples chairs being left as they stood!

  3. We also had a nice drive from Nh across Vermont and stayed in Bennington. We got to N. Adams at about 6pm got wristbands (no line) and got a bite to eat at the HUB, also weird to see NA so dead although the HUB was pretty crowded and I do not think they expected it! Got to Mass MOCA around 7:15 got a couple beers and ended up 2 rows back between Pat and John, I guess I am in the minority that I actually love One Sunday Morning as an opener, nice mellow way to start a very rockin Wilco show but the highlight for me was my first live "Shes a Jar" made my night! Great crowd, great show, great place!

  4. When we arrived in North Adams on Friday night and wandered into town looking for dinner we were given a map and some input of where to eat from a guy on the street. I knew right then that this was going to be a good weekend! The crowd, the art, the bands, and the setting made this a very special weekend. 10 minutes after arriving I literally ran into Mike Mills in the lobby. I loved how the musicians were able to walk among the crowd without being bothered by the fans.I completely disagree that the music was weak, we experienced most of the bands and loved the diversity of the music. We had never seen Autumn Defence and loved their set ( I think my wife is developing a crush on Pat,who by the way makes playing music look to easy!

Well Done Wilco and thank you for, by far my best weekend of summer 2010

  5. Look in after the show the setlist is there. Yesterday was really a perfect day. Great weather, $5 Magic Hats, Great Music and then Wilco once again showed me why they are the best Band in America today. Thanks guys. Also enjoyed Nels describing his Stompbox Station and fielding questions from the crowd. Oh and how could I forget Jeff in a nudie getting dunked too funny

  6. Secondly...this venue isn't really conducive to being a non-camping festival. This is a festival put on by wealthy white people for wealthy white people who want to peruse an art gallery between sets then go back to their hotel rooms

I keep going back to this statement in my head. Isn't this festival put on by Wilco? I would not really classify Wilco as wealthy white people, although they are white and may be wealthy(I guess it depends on your definition of wealthy).I also do not see this venue as being conducive to camping it is in a downtown area. Do you mean that the venue is not conducive to camping? I thank Wilco for putting this together and will have a great time even if I have to wait in line a little or deal with some people who for the most part I have found to be very cool.

I also am happy with the pricing on food and drink, $5 for a cold Magic Hat is good for me.

did anyone else see duck a Wilco member tank? 3 for $10 open today and tommorow

  7. I also must disagree with Jondick while the Hunter Center was a little small it was no more crowded than alot of venues we have been to. We watched most of both Pronto and the Books sets from the floor in front of the stage. We thought the place was pretty cool quite different then other festivals. We are white but certainly not wealthy and yes after the show we went back to our hotel room, we do not enjoy camping and would not attend if we had to camp. We will go watch the bands today and will check out some art between sets and yes return to our Hotel Room at the end of the night all the while enjoying Mass Moca and all it has to offer

Also there were volunteers everywhere that were very happy to tell us where to go

  8. Faxman:

"Don't overcrowd you campsite. Please limit site occupancy to four people or one family (parents and children 17 or under). Please limit site equipment to two tents or one trailer or RV and one tent. Also, please no more than two vehicles per campsite."

It was only a goolge click away :D

I just reserved my site at Clarksburg, if anyone hears back form the folks at windsor lake can you post some info, I'd rather stay there.

  9. Bought a turntable after learning of this rerelease, Lots of fun rediscovering how much better vinyl sounds. Besides about 50 albums I managed to save over the years I received YHF today. It sounds incredible and I forgot how nice the needle hitting the vinyl sounded I am hooked again.
