thank you to the girls who came down my aisle and got everyone standing and dancing, sometimes a section just needs a push and the dancing girls provided just that.

yeah, i saw 3 or so girls on the floor on nels' side, standing while so many were glued to their seats...

i know in the balconies is was an all or none kind of thing, which was reason enough for me to go into the back aisle....

glad they got your section bumping for this bumping show

the band was really alive tonight

they literally played nonstop amazing music the entire evening...

such a great show

the venue holds about 1900 and there were barely any seats open (like 3-4 every section of a few hundred)

- i had heard pre-show from one of the crew members that there were "about 30 tickets remaining an hour before the show" due to the band not using all of their "comps"

- the venue was like straight up & down, people were really high, off of the ground

- like i presumed, the venue was an extremely proper hall.... though they let the alcohol flow freely which was great

-- standing was nearly a crime in the right balcony... i was just dancing in the back behind the last row of the 1st balcony, i couldn't stand to stay in my seat for this awesome performance

--- the local production company (opus one) had this one dbag security guard enforcing no reentry rules like it was the most important thing on earth... i saw 2 couples get separated because 1 had their ticket stubbed torn already, and i wasnt allowed to go back outside after i went in almost an hour before the show either...

The band gave away both a dinner & a dinette set LOL

Jeff attempted to field questions ... that was hilarious

- I asked about working with Bob Weir in the future, and he responded if I asked him to smoke a bowl :rofl

- the fans tonight really got into it

I was very glad I was able to get a ticket & get into this fantastic show & genuinely awesome performance

at a few points jeff was talking about last night's show in philly

- it was a saturday, and we played at a bar.... though he pointed out this evening there were much less talkers

then at some point, maybe even twice, conversation covered pittsburgh & philadelphia sports. that was funny too.

- he also challenged the crowd to sing better and more than last night . LOL

such a good show!

Going to be such a sweet sweet show tonight in oakland!!!!

I was at the last Pittsburgh show. The venue left a lot to be desired but I had a great time.

I'm actually a lot more enjoyable to be around when my opinion does not clash so strongly with others. The pulumbo center was what it was, and the boys absolutely played a great set b backing their recent release of sky blue sky, which was an awesome album.

The poster before you really hit it out of the park, WILCO is going to rock, and that's that.

all the songs you want them to play (except "Kingpin" and "Misunderstood") are songs they literally play every single night.

So nice of them to do so!

If you cant stand most of the request songs then why the hell would you go to a Wilco show?

Why? Are you kidding me? I would go, and am going, and bought a ticket, because I like the band, and their music. It's not my fault the fans in this 'city' are very focused on hearing some of the less popular stuff.

How can you even say, and worry that the band will lack energy!?

This does not seem like a show you should be going too.

That's just dumb to say to anyone to not go to a wilco show.

I think the requests for tonight are perfect. And that is despite the fact that the song I requested is not on there.

 

I'm going to take last night's incredible setlist as a sign of good things to come. No reason to critique a show that hasn't even happened yet.

I'm guessing you folks were not at the Duquesne show. The band was amazing, they can be nothing but amazing, but the venue *and college campus* stunk and was not only a dry show, as tonight may be as well, for whatever reason, but if Jeff mentioned it all!!!

Wilco rocks, and I'd never expect anything less, but these "rarities" as you put it, are not the band's absolute best work, as that is why they do not get played as often

most hopefully at least tonight I have the price is right theme, and wilco the song, to look forward to at least....

I saw Wilco for the first time last night in Philly-what a awesome concert! I had thought that standing on the floor for over three hours would be rough, but the time just flew by, and the music was so fantastic, that it didn't bother me at all. I brought my son and a friend along, and they also thought it was an awesome show. My friend had never heard a single Wilco tune before, and now he's hooked!

Can't wait until the next time I see this band-they are truly amazing!
