wow, can't remember anyone in the band playing a strat since leroy.

*As he has been for a couple of song each night on this run, Nels also played what I presume to be Duane Allman's goldtop Les Paul. Jeff hasn't been announcing it as such, so maybe it's a replica of some sort, but Nels certainly seems to relish every chance he gets to play it. Tonight, among other songs, he ripped the solo on Shouldn't Be Ashamed using the Les Paul.
I got to ask Nels about that guitar after last month's show in Luxembourg. He told me it was a fairly new guitar that has been reliced in some way, given to him by Jeff. That night he only used it on IG and Jeff used to look at him in funny ways during the solo, because the guitar didn't play in tune very well .

hmmm, something must have been wrong with nels' main jazzmaster, since he's playing the backup one here through the entire show.

I got to chat with Mike after the show in Luxembourg last night and asked him if they were planning to add more shows and he said it could be possible, but on the other hand their families miss them already quite a bit. He also hinted that they might come back out on the road in spring.

I clocked the show at 2h 05min, so no complaints.

Amazing show and crowd, very small venue, band seemed to enjoy it a lot.
Jeff was talking about how they hate playing "those stupid festivals", but they always can't say no because they pay them so well.

As far as I remember from their last show in Vienna, Glenn's pose at the beginning of ITMWLY is a tribut to Viennese composer Franz Schubert. This might explain the exception.
Besides that, I also can confirm that the sound was phenomenal throughout the whole floor. Stan is THE man!
