  1. I can definitely understand the setlist in context to the other shows. The lyric was the other show that I saw, and I thought it was terrific. Maybe it was because I was far back in the balcony and having to sit during the show? I was just pumped to be able to be that close and rock out in an atmosphere that wasn't so "formal".

  2. I have to say that by only attending one other show this week, I was a little disappointed at the pacing of the set list. There were a ton of great songs played last night. Most of which I've never heard live. I just felt like there was a real anticipation and energy in the crowd before the show, and that energy kind of died by the slow tempo of the entire set. A good show, but I was expecting a bring down the house finale for a week of hometown shows.

  3. I saw Cat Power at the Vic last Wednesday night. Half of the show was amazing, the other half was a total trainwreck. She was amazing with the Memphis Band. When she went solo the show just took a weird turn. She wasn't making any sense, starting and stopping songs. I feel that there was definitely an audience of people there just to see the sideshow. "Lived in Bars" was totally amazing, and about 45 minutes later I was wondering who the bi polar broad on stage was. I felt bad for the band. You could tell they were visibly pissed when they came back out to perform with her. She's a great talent, but totally insane.

  4. I can't really believe that none of these bands haven't helped him out at all. The guy from the Redwalls wishes him well, how about a couple bucks. I'm really kind of disgusted by the whole article. He's a decent poet who's become a novelty. How many people have been to a show and heard him read a poem, and not many understood what he was saying, but some dumb fuck starts cheering because he's known as "the weird guy who reads poetry before indie rock shows". I feel sorry for him, but I guess I don't feel any more sorry for him than any other destitute person. I feel that he's kind of been made a mockery of by the bands that let him go on stage.
