  1. Worst president in the last 50 years, hands down!

You are absolutely correct on this man. I mean, he is no Dick Nixon that is for sure. Jimmy Carter didn't have the initiative to try and subvert the entire democratic process by working to rig the 1972 election. Nor, did he have the ambition and drive to send our country in to an unjust war in Iraq and no matter how shitty is was all working out he just kept insisting that it would all be okay if we kept doing the same thing. Obviously, W has him beat on that one. What, are you really more upset at the oil embargos of the late 70's more than electioneering and improper and dishonest miltary action?

As far as your idiotic remarks about his Habitat For Humanity involvement, anyone who takes issue with his passion for this cause is purely insensitive. Do you object to him working for a charity of any kind, or is it that he's helping poor people that upsets you? He's also helped to ensure fair elections in third world countries and has been very involved in charitable work through his church. Do you find those ideals and efforts stupid as well? God forbid the man should be involved in making the world a slightly better place.

  2. You might be best off to find parking in East Lansing's downtown area and then walk to the auditorium from there. There is almost no parking on campus and it's all metered even late into the evening with most of the meters having 30-60 minute limits on them. Parking on campus at MSU sucks hard core.

  3. I will be in Row R wondering the whole time how the Tigers are playing. If anyone would rather go to Wilco, I'll gladly trade my ticket for the show tonight in exchange for a ticket to the Tiggers. :lol

The Peanut Barrel is a great choice, but it's usually jam packed on the weekends. If you can't get in there, head over to El Azteco on Ann Street (one block north of the main drag) for some great margaritas and mexican grub. Crunchy's also makes a mean burger a few block west on Grand River Ave.

If you have time you should also head over to Scavenger Hunt, a tremendous vintage clothing shop with an amazig selection and great prices. The people who own it are great folks.

By the way, word on the street is that the Wilco set begins at 9:15. See y'all there.

  4. From what I heard last night, they may even lose Lirano for most if not all of next season too. They definitely made a serious mistake.

The Tigers continue to dissapoint me. They had a golden opportunity last night to pick up a game on the Twins and build on the momentum of Guillen's walk-off on Tuesday night and laid an egg. They better sweep the Orioles, because the Sox series starts next week. Good god, are they gonna blow this thing completely?

This book, while quite demoralizing, is a terrific read. Tom Frank has a great tongue in cheek attitude while still being able to care about his subject. This is easily the most sincere assessment of the inner workings of the right wing politicos I have seen so far. This is a book that middle America must wake up and read, but sadly never will.
