Well said mate, The Academy is a hideous venue. I can't believe they redeveloped the entrance/bar area and did nothing to the actual hall! It has all the charm and the acoustics of a nuclear bunker. I wish they had played the Lowry even though it's all seater at least you'd have been able to hear what was being played. The gig was a real disappointment due to the awfulness of the Academy. I hope they come back to the UK again on this tour since I was unable to make any of the other shows and I'd really like to "hear" the songs from the new album live.
