I am soooo very excited for this show in Akron! Civic Theater is a beautiful, old venue that is so rarely used. Perfect for a Wilco show.
I live only about 10 minutes from the venue. If anyone is coming this way for the show, let me know if you would like to meet up, or need anything.

Is anyone else going to walk in this? I am going to join the walk itself and try to raise some in Miss Sue's name at Bonnaroo and through Inforoo and at the other fests I am attending this year, and maybe even at my hospital system. I lost my love, Mike, 2 weeks ago to his cancer, and considering he was a Chicago native and long-time Wilco supporter, built our love with Wilco and others running through it, proposed to me at Solid Sound, and passed away as Jesus, Etc played in the background, I just feel the need/desire to give back to the family who has, unbeknownst to them, meant so much to us.
If anyone else is thinking of joining the walking team, let me know and we can meet up.

I'm most excited for Shovels and Rope,
Did you catch their documentary that CIFF highlighted? So good. And, since you like them, have you heard of Shivering Timbers?

It seemed that every time we stepped foot in the lobby of the hotel at One Big Holiday, they were playing a Wilco song. Guess the were in tune with the musical taste of the festival goers.

Sending all of my best vibes and love to the Tweedy family. So sad to hear this news, brings tears to my eyes.
I haven't logged on here for awhile, however my fiance surprised me today with tickets for Saturday's show at the Vic, so I thought I would see who else may be going and how we may be able to make requests. He, too, is battling cancer, however his has been deemed terminal. He proposed to me this last Solid Sound as Wilco was playing California Stars. Our love story is rooted in all of the shows we have shared together, and the songs we have danced to, with Wilco being the most important. This will likely be our last time hearing these songs played live, as I haven't seen any announcements for a spring tour and they aren't playing any of the fests we are hoping to go to this year. I fully intend to get up out of my seat when/if he plays California Stars. We'll be the fools dancing in aisles, celebrating, and at the same time, mourning the cycle of life and love.
Sorry for the overshare. The news really hit home, especially today. Reminds me of how connected we are as humans, sharing the same roads, the same loves, the same pain...
So much love to the Tweedy's, and to everyone here.

For a second there, I thought you had photoshopped Pat into that Abba photo.
