  1. I'm glad they decided to do the concert after all.  Maybe they'll come around before state election time and do a benefit concert for whoever is going to be running against Pence.  That is if Pence runs.  He's done a few other things in this state that has been pissing people off.  SB101 just had the most publicity.  I look forward to seeing Wilco next month!

  2. Hey I just called Ticketmaster/Live Nation about a refund and they said that the show hasn't been officially canceled.  I'm not sure if that means the show will go on or not.  Hopefully, the people who are complaining about this read my earlier post and are getting in touch with the legislators that passed this law.  In the internet age it is really easy to do.

  3. Having lived in Chicago I used to take the cta a lot.  I could swear I hear "Wilson"  "Wellington" and "Halsted".  But as far as I know there is no single train line that stops at all those stops.  The redline stops at Wilson.  The brownline stops at Wellngton.  And no train stops at Halsted.

  4. I've had some time to calm down about this and although very disappointed I understand.  If you are a hoosier there is something you can do about this.  Follow this link to find out who your representative and senator are and let them know how you feel.  Maybe let them know that you support an anti-discrimination clause or amendment be added to this law.

Here is a list of all the senators and representatives who voted for this law.  Even if you're not a hoosier you can let them know how you feel about this:

With a little bit of homework and a few mouse clicks, you should be able to find out how to contact them.

And here although I feel a little bit conflicted about this (but it is public knowledge) is where these legislators work.  So you know what to boycott without hurting any innocents.

I'm going to wait a week or so to get a refund in the slim chance that Wilco will reconsider.  Hopefully, I will get all my money back and Live Nation won't keep their chunk of change.  I hope this get's resolved soon and Pence get's thrown out of office.  I've only lived here for a year and 1/2 and almost all of the people are against this bill.  At least here in Indianapolis.  Also if you're a Chicagoan don't forget to vote next week.  And vote for Chuy!

p.s  Now I know how a lot of Cubans and South Africans feel.

p.p.s.  My first Wilco show was here in Indiana.  It was at the Sunshine Fest in Crown Point in 1995 or 1996.  I've been a Wilco fan ever since.  I got to see at least one show per tour when I lived in Chicago. Multishows when they did their homestands.

  5. I hope they reconsider this.  I used to live in Chicago and saw quite a few of their shows.  I personally am against this law and have written my representative and senator about it.  It's great that they are making a stand but this is punishing fans that may also be against this law.  And going to another show out of state is not an option.
