  1. Would you please come back to Richmond Virginia?????

The show at The National was phenomenal and there is also a venue called The Classic Ampitheatre that used to put on tons of shows all summer in the 90s and early 00s, went dormant but now they are booking some shows again..............

Elvis Costello and The Attractions are coming in June and its actually a super nice venue and perfectly sized for you guys:

A quote from the local paper:

"A major global concert promoter, AEG Live, and Richmond International Raceway have entered into an exclusive booking agreement for Richmond's 6,000-seat outdoor venue, the Classic Amphitheater.

The announcement comes just in time for that venue's 25th anniversary in 2017.

"This is a fixed location, a boutique venue similar in size to the Wolf Trap or the Mann Center in Philadelphia," says Bill Reid, former part-owner of the National and the Norva who had sold both to AEG Live in 2014."

Ive attached a pic and also WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE SHOWS AT THE CHARLOTTESVILLE PAVILION???!!! THOSE WERE EPIC!!

  2. P.S. ANY show with Red Eyed and Blue>I Got You is worth the price of admission alone and also anyone who cares anything about listening to great versions of songs this Art of Almost was something super special or at least it seemed that way to me. Like better than any version ive ever seen or heard. Absolute top notch and again part of it had to be how loud they can make it in The Norva. I mean it really is worth downloading and listening to!

  3. Magnetized this is Trey. Sorry I didnt get there in time to get you off the rail but I ended up making my way pretty close regardless.

I have a ton of thoughts about the show/crowd etc............but I will say they DEFINITELY cut the show short big time. It was super obvious but the flip side of that is the fact that we got to see them in a bar with less than 1500 people and one thing is for sure. They had the damn sound DIALED IN!!! It was like an old school Wilco show at the 930 or wherever. The talkers cant talk loud enough to overcome the sound so I didnt think it was that bad.

I loved every single second of the music and they played as beautiful as Ive ever seen them play so OH WELL!! I guess i look at it like we had to take out lumps but they did us a favor and played a bar in Virginia to much less people than they could pull in if they wanted to so all I can say is THANK YOU WILCO!!!

Hope this stupid post made some sense.

  4. Nope. The venue has a no smoking policy, so if staff enforce it for cigarettes then it should be enforced for weed. A patron's complaint about marijuana smoke is no less valid than a complaint about tobacco smoke.

jam it grandpa! the complaint is less "valid" because your loser azz could get someone arrested for Christsakes!!! Not to mention cigs are nasty and weed is fun and pretty

  5. yeah that's the other thing about Hampton. Noone that actually lives there gives a flying fig about decent music so its kinda a one off type of venue where folks from elsewhere catch a show in one of the best venues ever. I just wish I would have seen the Stones there!

  6. Sooooo…………Some yahoo that lives off the govt but hates that govt (because its being run by a black mooslim) and swears hes gonna come out a blazin and rootin and a tootin Yosemite Sam style (but this Yosemite has himself an M-4 or an AR-15 or whatever) and he turns up dead????!!
And they preach over and over that the “thug” Trayvon deserved everything he got but now im supposed to “wait and see” in Hixters words and maybe shed a tear for his family.
Hate to be a hater but not likely in this lifetime. He did EXACTLY what he said he was gonna do. Im just glad no agents or local police were shot.

  7. haha I remember going to the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore. Very ritzy place not many rock shows................

They open with Hell is Chrome and the yocals sit down immediately except about 50 percent of folks stood up from the get go. We were all used to seeing them at the 930 club :)

Some very angry yuppies (or whatever you wanna call em) started yelling at us to sit down. My dear friend is not the kind of person to hold his tongue in any way. So..............Im trying to ignore the whole episode because #1 im so baked out of my gourd that im about to have a heart attack and theres all this negative energy building. palpable. and #2 Hell is Chrome is like one of my top ten songs.

Nels does his thing as usual at the end and its so loud that you cant hear the angry white people...............soon as the song ends they start back at it.............my buddy says "get fukked this is a rock and roll show"

Im about ready for fisticuffs when they launch into Handshake Drugs and the whole place is immediately on their feet from that moment on. The meanies just disappeared into a sea of dancing. I think they even remained seated for a bit and then finally gave in :)
