For someone who's looking for shoegaze outside of My Bloody Valentine (although I like them just fine) are there any recomendations?
Slowdive's "Souvlaki" was always one of my favorites.
Also any Swervedriver album is fantastic especially "Raise," "Mezcal Head," or "Ejector Seat Reservation" although they are quite different from MBV.

Wow! This band is an intense experience live. Been a while since I've seen such energy and happiness go into a live show. The band played as a six piece including the three guys from the opening band, Megafaun, who were also great.
Show played out like a freaky religious revival with screaming vocal harmony sing-a-longs, tribal drum chants, and extended guitar freak outs. Its truly great to see a band that has so much fun playing live too. Every person in the band had huge smiles on their faces the entire show and they truly seemed to enjoy vibing off of other band members. Lots of tamborine action, native american drum, sampler effects, beer bottle whistles, water bottle drums, recorder, violin, piano, banjo, and general noises. Guys are all great musicians who switch instruments pretty consistently.
Songs I remember in the setlist:
Afford
Blessing Force
Gone Beyond
Phenomena
Theres So Many Colors
Moment
We All Will
and the extended freakout of freakouts (had to be at least 45 minutes):
Lake Song/Raising the Sparks/Turn on Your Love Light (Grateful Dead Cover)/Ed Is a Portal
Truly a fun time. Wish more people would of come out. Seemed like there were maybe 75 people at most. Definitely worth your $15 next time they roll through your town.
