  1. That’s a good idea while Jeff takes a much needed break. I’ll laugh however if Jeff enters the room with a cowboy up shirt in the middle of the show!

Hahahaha. And red pants. And a frozen Costco pizza.

  2. As I think everyone knows, last night’s episode of The Tweedy Show was not able to be saved or shared for its normal 24 hour run on Instagram. I was not able to watch/record it live (I still have to get up early for work these days and being on the East coast, it’s on past my bedtime), so I’m not able to post it to YouTube. I know a lot of people are disappointed – myself included.

So, to avoid snafus like this in the future, I have a proposal. Let’s have 7 people on point to record these live – one person for each day of the week. They can be anyone with a good internet connection who can commit to a day a week for the foreseeable future. (If you have an iPhone, I can walk you through how to do it – it’s super easy.) I’ll continue to record and post the day after as I’ve been doing, but if something like last night happens, and I’m unable to, that person can send me the file, and I’ll upload that to the channel.

If you’d like to volunteer, please shoot me a message and let me know which days you could take. I’ll then post a list and circle back with those people to make sure we can connect directly if we need to, and arrange coverage if there’s a day someone is unexpectedly unable to record. (I know this sounds a little like overkill, but I know a lot of people are disappointed, and once this is set up, it should be easy to maintain.)

    Thanks everyone!

  3. Hi all. I’ve gotten a number of requests for specific episodes. Just wanted to let everyone know that I have been able to post all episodes (except the first one) so far. You can just go directly to the playlist I set up:

  4. There seem to be a lot of people who, for whatever reason, aren't able to watch these on Instagram and have said they really appreciated these being posted up on YouTube. And Susie has said the Tweedys don't mind them being posted (at least for the time being). So I put up the latest two episodes. There's some weirdness going on in the middle of episode 6, but episode 7 is pretty clean. Enjoy.

  5. Hi everyone. I recorded these for myself, but since I've seen a lot of people on here looking for recordings, I decided to post what I have on YouTube. I missed episode 1, and there are few interruptions from when alarms or texts popped up on my phone (especially during episode 2), but for those who missed them, I figure these are better than nothing. Obviously this isn't my content and I'm not making any money off this. If the Tweedys ask me to take them down, I absolutely will. But these brought me lot of joy so I thought I'd share.

  6. I'm partial to the 3/26/98 Lounge Ax show. That tape was really my full-on introduction to Tweedy & Wilco.

"Hey, shut up. Lotta people talking back there. I know I'm playing a bunch of quiet songs--but they're really pretty. You're missing out on a very dynamic performance." :lol

Thank you! I found the 3/25/98 show, but I can’t find the 3/26/98 show. Do you know if it’s posted somewhere?

  7. Jeff solo tour winter 2001... At Irving Plaza Jeff mentioned that someone in the audience sent him a book that their publishing company put out about Bob Dylan, that claimed Dylan was the first musician to blow in and out of a harmonica. Jeff then said he was the first person to strum his guitar strings up and down, back when he was "inventing alternative country." That was also the tour where Jeff told the story every night how, as a kid, he and his friend would say things were "cock", so he changed the names of his songs to "____ cock." People started shouting out "Box Full of Cock" "What's the Cock Got In Store?", etc., until somebody with a good loud voice won the room with "Out of Cock, Out of Mind." Jeff then proceeded to play "Hesitating Cock." He also riffed on the Grateful Dead on that tour, for some reason, to the point that one night he sung a parody version of Ripple.

Yes!!! These are all awesome! Thank you! Keep them coming!

  8.

It is my trumpet blow but also much proof of the ABBA love! It is from December 2013 showings but not in recordings. Mr Jeff Tweedy did not make contribution charity payment to Harpoon Research Centre as way of cover copyright substitute and it broke negotiations. I am still open to this offer!

    Welfare!

Literally speechless. You, Lotti, are a legend.

  9. Roadcases 24-27, Jeff solo at Largo in December 2013. Jeff's under the weather and does about as much chatting as he does playing.

Thank you!!! Added to cart and will download when I get home. Happy to have something to look forward to on this never ending rainy Monday-after-Thanksgiving catastrophe of a workday ☺️
