I was the song requester, Brent. I requested Big Star's Thirteen. I wasn't expecting the happy birthday. My friend somehow got the word to Sue. It was a great surprise!

I've watched the first episode of Black Mirror so far. It was pretty good. Is each episode different?
Black Mirror is great. two shows to go.

From what I heard they didn't market the show at all. I ask a friend who lives over seas about the show, and he never even heard of the show. I hope if the US version beings Dennis Kelly to help finish the show off.
I was very disappointed that Channel 4 didn't renew it for a third season; I think it had decent ratings and they left the viewers hanging. The UK bean counters also let me down by canceling Nick Frost's wonderful Mr. Sloane.

I just finished up Channel 4's Utopia. It's disturbing, but really good. David Fincher is going to do an American version on HBO. It'll come out next year.
-
I taped the show as well. I have not had time to finish mastering the tracks. I hope to finish mastering later this week. I hope to upload it early next week. I taped from the first row of the balcony. I'm really happy how it turned out.
I'll keep everyone posted.

It was a great show! I just uploaded the recording I did to the computer. The recording didn't turn out too bad at all. I will work on it the next few days. I know at least two other people recorded the show. I know Tagvestibule taped as well. So, keep your eyes open for some recordings coming soon. Looking forward to some reviews.

The Hawks had no offense in the 1st period. They looked good the 3rd period. The Hawks don't have a team that are big in size like last year. I just hope that the Hawks can pull off a win or two at home.

I'm just hoping the Canucks manage to get all of their top d-men back. I'm pretty sure that they haven't had all top 6 d-men playing at the same time this entire season. Overall though, our goaltending has been fantastic and we're rolling all 4 lines...I think there's good cause for fear!!
How do Canuck fans feel since they're playing the Blackhawks again? The Hawks have knocked them out of the playoffs a few years in a row now. Also, Luongo has never taken a team to the second round of the playoffs. He's a great goalie though. I'm curious what the feels are around Vancouver.

Thanks for the all the help! I will do some research now! My old turntable just burned out.

Here is another great site for sound proofing/changing the acoustic in a room..
Search the forum for some great advice. Most of the time the top has been brought up already.
Peace
Almost forgot...
Here is a site for building your own acoustic panels.

I heard some good things about the 003 rack. My buddy has one, he says it beats the mbox's pres. Sure it doesn't beat the other outboard pres, but it is an upgrade. It is a good start.
The thing with usb microphones is that there is really not a good preamp to boost the level of it. The preamp would be built into it and that is probably the cheapest thing they build in it. I would recommend getting a interface with a little better preamps in it. I would then get a cheap dependable microphone to use like a shure 57 or 58. A 57 or 58 are good for guitar amps, vocals, snare drum and a number of other things. They are the industry standard for live sound. There is probably not one show that does not have a 57 or 58 used.
Hope this helps a little.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Peace

there is a theory that you could have pro tools on your external hard drive & launch from it. i've never tried it but it sounds appealing.
I have not heard about that. Just make sure you are not saving your files to your computer. After a while it messes up your computer. Always save to an external.

I saw it a few weeks back.. I thought it was an excellent movie! I recommended it to many people. All the people really enjoyed it.

I was going to ask what kind of awesome speakers you have if you said it was a good sound!
I am going to be buying a new pair of headphones to mix music with. Hopefully this weekend. I know I should invest in studio monitors but I am saving up for those and doing research.
Peace
