  1. Just a few of my latest fave 7 minute plus songs:

    Everglades - South San Gabriel

The Splinter Angelic - South San Gabriel

    Strangulation! - My Morning Jacket

13 Angels Standing guard 'round Your Bed - A Silver Mount Zion

    Farewell Transmission - Songs Ohia

  2. Hi folks, sorry if this has been asked already but I couldnt find anything on the forum and I need to know. I was wondering if the music Wilco plays just before they take the stage this past year is a traditional New Orleans funeral march. It may be a silly question but I don't think I've ever heard a funeral march but I understand 100 years ago it was music that gave birth to Jazz. Somehow I suspect a New Orleans funeral march would sound just like this.

  3. Like many classic albums in rock, AGIB grows on you and reveals itself over repeated listens over time. Muzzle of Bees and Wishful Thinking kill me every time.

  4. Two of my favorites are Sept 19 and 20 2003, in Chicago. The setlists are a good mix of old and new, such as Box Full of Letters up to The Late Greats, pre AGIB. Plus an interesting version of Forget the Flowers done as a "Johnny Cash - June Carter Cash" done with Carla B (Sorry, can't reference her name at the moment, was it even her?). Plus an awesome version of Mountain Bed.

  5. Yes, it was great to see Wilco again since Oct 2004. I can't wait until the next album comes out, the new songs sound great. Funny about tonight though. In Oct 2004 at Massey Hall Jeff was more than happy to have a low key crowd.
