I've got a few silvertones, 1471, 1484, and a 4771. Also an head by a Canadian company called Northern from the early sixties. Not sure what the model is, but it did at one time have a two ten cab attached. I use it with a '70's Mitchell 210 sand cab.

The cover of "Can't Stand It" by Invade Rome is by far my favorite... It's AWESOME!
Thanks for sharing this.
their album is also on aimee street, great record. The Vos brothers used to be in Freshwater Collins before starting Invade Rome if you are interested in digging deeper.

Conrad, that is the same edward burch, Jay Bennett produced one of Chris Demay's albums a few years ago. Good stuff, Chris's band, West of Rome, was a damn good band, he is now a member of Juniper Tar, an equally good band. Search them on Aimee Street or itunes, both of their releases are worth getting.
Ryan, I've been waiting for this for a while now as I got to act as ears for Allen and Margaret's tune after they cut it and before you got it.

No wait at all today here in Greenfield (Milwaukee suburb).
Last time around I was in Riverwest (in Milwaukee) and the wait was an hour.
Kinda like the new place, much smoother running of the polling site. Yes the workers are much older, and you can tell they've done this before.

I played at a festival this past summer that Freedy also played. He was nothing short of amazing. If you get the chance to see him, don't pass it up.

It is really hard to say that one guitar can fit every need. There are many guitars I would love to have, and not in a selfish manor either. The quest for tone is never ending and ever so frustrating.
how true, I have owned dozens of guitars over the years, all different types. My love and now long time guitar of choice is the Epiphone Sheriden (sp?). Love the sound through most amps (I've had too many of those as well). I have been using a peavy studio chorus 210 of last and just love the tone and drive I get from the guitar through the clean channel. the fender super 210 works well with this guitar too. you can probably get any combo of these in your price range and it's well worth it.
