  1. I'm hoping to get two tickets for the Friday night show at Central Park on 9/23 I live in CT and will be in NYC earlier in that week for a day if you are local and want to make an exchange. I'd come to you. Or else perhaps we can work something else out. I'm a longtime member of VC and I know this ticket exchange works and works well! Hopeful to make something happen even with so many people looking for tickets out there.

    Thank you!

  2. I just saw on the Pageant's website that Retribution Gospel Choir will be the "special guest" for all 3 wilco shows in STL in May.

Here is the link. Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere. I didn't see it anywhere else, but also did not look too hard.

  3. If you go through Wilco ticketing (on the Wilcoworld.net website) you will have to sign up if you haven't already..which requires an email and I'm not sure what else...best to do it now...then Musictoday will ask want you to make up a name and password for your account...but music today itself does not require passwords for ticket buying.

great, thanks. i've purchased many a ticket through Musictoday, but it feels like it's been years. Good luck to anyone trying to get tickets this AM!

  4. Hi all,

As I'm getting ready to try to purchase tickets this morning, I recall that I've needed a password in the past for Music Today purchases. Is this still the case? Sorry if this was posted recently.

    Thanks much!

  5. Hello all!

I am asking you a favor. A good friend of mine in my graduate program is trying to collect data for his dissertation. If you could take some time to read the consent form below, I'd appreciate it. If you agree to participate, you would need to follow the link provided in the consent form and fill out a questionnaire. I did it myself and it took me about 15 minutes to complete. I am fairly knowledgeable about the study and would be willing to answer any questions you might have.

    Thanks very much,

    Lynette

    INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE:

My name is Tyrel Starks. I am a doctoral candidate conducting

my dissertation research under the direction of Dr. Ann R.

Fischer at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. I am in

need of participants for a web-based study to develop a new

measure of sexual-romantic attraction and behavior that is more

independent of self-assigned sexual identity. We would like to

hear from adults of both genders and ALL SEXUAL ORIENTATIONS.

Representing a wide diversity of experiences in a sample can be

difficult, and I would very much appreciate your help.

You are invited to participate in and/or pass on the URL for

this web-based study to any adults who might be willing to

    complete it.

The survey typically takes a maximum of 30 minutes to

complete. All participants' responses will be kept

    confidential.

At the end of the study, a confirmation number can be generated

on a printable form which verifies your participation. Printing

this form is totally optional and may be done if it will be

useful to you to have evidence of your participation. (Please

note, however, that you will NOT be asked to provide your name,

email address or other identifying information.)

  6. so, I am thinking about all the other wilco songs that I heard live before I heard the studio versions. And I am thinking about how different the sound was when they played it live prior to putting together the studio cut (e.g., spiders). Or how greatly the lyrics evolved (e.g., theologians) from it's initial playings to where it is now. even "the good part" being played these days sounds vastly different from the studio version. I played the old version for a wilco-friend and she did not even recognize it until the chorus started.

my best guess is that what we have been hearing is not where those songs will end. for at least some of the new songs. so i guess i don't care how much i like them (or don't like them) now. I am waiting to see how it all ends up.
